I think the whole situation is just sad. Win or lose, the owner of the horse has certainly lost. He lost his wife and he will be out the money it takes to fight the lawsuit. Why is it that our society doesn't understand the word "accident?" Everything is someone's fault and they should pay for it. If you don't understand there is risk everytime you walk out the door, you should stay at home instead of making everyone pay for your risks.

When is his affair with an underage boy going to come out so he can just diaspear into the nothingness he came from? All of these religious freaks seem to have an affair. Some just take longer to come out.

You do realize that they already do put money into the collection plate right? Just because someone is gay, doesn't mean they don't go to church, or even that the church really disapproves. None of these gay rights issues are being brought to the forefront by religious groups. It politicians. Our elected officials that are wasting time, money and resources to impede human rights. Gay people getting married qualifies as "extraordinary times?" Whatever shall we do? I know I haven't been able to sleep since gay people got the same rights as me in Iowa. It's just terrible.

It's clear that Iowa City doesn't need the money they spend on rooms and food. Come on! there are no bars within walking or cab fare distance in CR? Well they don't have the ped mall...ok, great. That just means they have to walk a little further to party. The reasons for not staying in IC just seem lie bs to me. Anyone else wondering about this?
