The democrat party seceded once to fight a war to maintain slavery (thank God the Republicans won!).

Now, they just seek to enslave everyone to the slavery of the soul. Be it by advocacy for drug abuse, abortion, racism, pedophilia or other deviant sexual practices, or just garden variety tax and spend liberalism where the liberals know "better" about how to spend the wage earner's money more than the wage earner. It's all slavery.

Well, last time Lakewood was in the news, a buncha cops were getting shot.

The cop probably feared for his life and high-tailed to the safety of a donut shop.

BTW, where's the structure in the first sentence? There's 4 prepositional phrases, but no noun or verb (because of the additional "and"): " In Washington, if you get caught driving on a suspended license and your car will be towed."

Can you imagine what kind of backups there would be commuting on surface streets through Seattle when (if) the Viaduct comes down?

That is EXACTLY the kind of thinking that is so counterintuitive to real progress. Seattle needs many more lane miles of high speed roadway. The whole Puget Sound area does. There are proposals to spend $100 Billion+ on more wasteful commuter rail projects in this area with the realization, even by the PROPONENTS of such harebrained scams, that the result would still be only 1% of all trips being taken by rail passengers.

We need MORE lane miles. More capability to move goods, freight AND commuters. Rail can't do that through Seattle. And a tunnel that only carries 2/3 of the traffic as the Viaduct or surface streets with traffic lights every block is just more of the same ignorance that is plaguing this area like a crippling mental disease!

The Seattle Times ran a series back right after the turn of the Century about how OVER $1 BILLION in taxes was taken from Pierce County and "used" for transportation "improvements" in King County.

Of course, no one can really say what those improvements were, but there are a whole lot of taxpayer subsidized McMansions built for City of Seattle and Metro KingCo employees!

Any earthquake that brings down the Viaduct will probably also bring down the Ship Canal and a bunch of other bridges, too.
