To first-time watchers: if you are watching the dubbed version, no matter how good you think it is, please also give the original Japanese voiced version of Episode 22 a try. Tatum did a very good job and was close to my impression of an American Okabe most of the time, but Miyano Mamoru's voice acting for Okabe was really at a superhuman level in this episode.

The composer (Takeshi Abo) said in an interview that he reads all the VN scripts to get a feeling of general theme and atmosphere before doing the composing. He said it takes a lot of time but it helps him with the coherence of the whole set of songs. So I guess at least for Gate of Steiner it should be consciously intended.

As for the Suzuha's theme, it's the anime original but also composed by him. I imagine it's also the case.
