Careful what you wish for friend. Methinks the number of evangelicals who will vote (and has voted) for Obama dwarves by far the number of GLBT voters. Just saying! - maybe when you and your kindred boycott Obama and your absence has absolutely no impact on future elections it would do irretreivable damage to your stock as a viable and worthwhile partner for other progressives in the politic - again- just saying.

Personally I am getting tired of the attitude of the gay community - you do NOT own Obama!.

The ugly vitriol and malice that so easily flow from your community against someone who is genuinely sympathetic to your concerns (but not held hostage by them) speaks volumes about your real worth to this new administration. You are not really supporters you are selfish manipulators - you tried to do the same with African American issues and when you did not get your way (because you offended the community's deeply held religious sensibilities against gay marriage) you reverted very quickly to the nasty & easy racial animus that is all too familiar to African Americans in this country. You are doing the samething now - Obama did not toe YOUR line and please you with his choice of invocator so he is suddenly an enemy and traitor GET OVER YOURSELVES!!!!!

I suspect that this over-the-top reaction will do more damage to your ability to influence things in this country than you realize. More and more people are not going to give you the benefit of the doubt anymore as it becomes clearer that you pursue nothing less than a 'tyranny of the small minority' without regard to the interests or sensibilities of the vast majority of people in this country.
