This makes no sense. What this group has done, has already been done and is being done by Communities across America. Recently in Wisc. we had a community program. Everyone one in the community that wanted their Cholesterol tested had it done free by a finger stick. The citizens involved committed to a program of walking and diet. If the first finger stick revealed a high Cholesterol we advised the participant to make an appointment with their physician. We gave away free step counters. After three months we repeated the finger stick Cholesterol and gave the results to the participants. Most where pleased with their lower numbers and vowed to continue their new way of eating and exercising. This was a volunteer program by physicians and nurses, paid for by donations to keep our community healthy. Only took two Saturdays. If this is or was a Federally Funded Program I would object to funding it. These special interest groups do not include everyone. Our Walk for Health had every one coming out for their freebie and they enjoyed the Community spirit.

I agree with most of the suggestions given by responders, special interest do not benefit the whole. I disagree with allowing HIV positive immigrants into the US. This is a disease that is transferable and requires extensive and costly treatment and could add to our burden. Just as the transfer of the incurable TB strain has done. The suggested increase in financing without discretion is not doable in our economic situation and sounds to much like a program that would function without oversight. This is something we can not afford now.

The objections of the ACLU offers no solutions except the Civil Rights inclusion. A solution from them would make their argument more acceptable. I reject their negative ti-rate. Many here have written what hoops they had to go through to get a job. It is obvious that the Employers bear this ID responsibility and abuse it for their financial benefit. Laws for Employers that hire immigrant employees should be strict and swift and harsh in penalty.

I agree with Aids Prevention number Six. The abstinence program in Africa has failed and the Religious programs that promote this should be withdrawn. There should be a free dis-pension of condoms without promissory abstinence. It is a violation of Civil Rights to force people to accept what other think is morally correct.
