Hi there.... Maybe I don't understand what "untethered" means. :-) I did my jailbreak with jailbreakme...
so what do I look for as far as a difference in the phone? Thanks so much. And I did have to have an original at&t sim card. Luckily, one was put away....although it is not active.

Looking for the jailbreak for untethered. does jailbreakme.com automatically mean your phone is now untethered?

Thanks so much....

I had the same problem, but luckily I had an old at&t sim card. If you know someone there on at&t, you might want to ask if you can borrow their sim card for a few moments.... :-)

Okay..... so.... I struggled with upgrading and Jb and UNlocking with 4.0. NOW it's time to do 4.0.1???
Is it through iTunes again??? And is it much simpler now?

hmmmmm...that may have been, as I also got the error message nodata1 and 2.
BUT..... I finally got it done. However, ultrasn0w was not iniitally on the list in cydia, and I could not get it added on as I could not connect with my wifi (no password to put in, and I had to locate it). Once I was able to log on, cydia downloaded and voila, ultrasn0w was there, but a bad one. I had to load it on myself.

I have to admit, I began losing interest in it, for sure! I worked on it, perhaps, 4 hours all together, maybe 5. There was a LONG break in the evening whilst I searched for the router's password. lol Then it wouldn't take it. So I quit again for a couple more hours. Finally decided it was NOT going to beat me, and got it going.
Wow....nearly like having tripps, eh? Your wife definitely has her hands full!
I couldn't help but notice all the GUYS having issues on this blog. HA!!! All the wise-cracking dudes can go chase 'em. :-)
Thanks for your help WAMBO (is that like WABBIT?)
