KOMO - Seattle, WA : Police: \'Foul play\' suspected in toddler\'s disappearance | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weath

Here are my 2 questions. 1) No one has seen this little guy for 2 weeks? What about Halloween? Seems to me she likes to show her kids off. Wouldn't you think she would have taken them trick or treating or have pictures of them in costume on her camera/phone? 2) Does she work? I know FB says she is a SAHM but she has been separated for a year and I doubt she could live in Redmond on just child support when they were struggling financially in the first place. So my question is: if she works does she have a daycare/nanny? Someone is not coming forward. I think big sister knows more than she has told. I hope her foster family can work with her to share those secrets she is keeping. Poor little ones!

We did really have a pumpkin shortage. Most of the crops were ruined due to weather conditions. That's also why you couldn't find canned pumpkin on the shelves until mid-October. Last year it was orange crops. due to the freezing temps they had in Florida.

Honestly I do not want to strike but some coworkers and I were adding it up and for a few of us the strike pay is more than we make a week. Now granted we are the part timers just earning a litlle extra for our families but a lot of our coworkers are the sole earners for their families.

I know that asking for nothing to change for 3 years is a dream contract. 3 years ago the company proposed cuts and we took it because we had jobs and the economy was starting to slide. If we give into these cuts this year what will it look like in 3 years. The workers are stuck in the middle of a war between unions and employers and our livelihoods are on the line. I work with a lot of people that will not survive a strike but they won't survive the cuts either. It is lose-lose for us.

People are cutting back and spending time eating at home...Where are they buying that food? We had a staff meeting not long ago where the store director personally "thanked" us for our hard work and told us of the company's record earnings over last year. I think I will take my pat on the back home and feed it to my kids.

When you have cuts in an job like yours it's "hey honey I guess we can't have cable anymore because of wage cuts" when you get wage cuts in a minimum wage job it is more like "hey honey I guess we can't have meat today"

Thank you! My hubby is capped and can not make more where he is. He has been with the CO for 15 years starting in college. He has a degree and we did have the 10 years of paying off student loans etc. Moving at this point in this economy would cause us to lose all the ground he has made putting in his time.

Grocery stores are always hiring. Coming in tomorrow for an application? You will get paid $9/ hour and only get 24 hours a week. 9x24=216 a week minus taxes and required union dues equals roughly 650 a month work for you?

When you took those pay cuts were you in fear of losing your house and having to go to get food stamps and welfare or was it more like deciding to cut cable or soccer? A pay cut when you are already making close to minimum wage is unacceptable. BTW I work next to a electrician, 2 chefs, a dietary consultant and a manager from a small grocer that went under. The people looking for work came to our stores to get work. They were so glad to have jobs again and be working and earning some money only to find out the little they were making was going to get cut 10%.

No one is asking to be paid more than the job is worth. We are trying to avoid it getting cut to unlivable levels. How much did you make unloading pallets? It's ok to work with the flu when you are manufacturing motorbikes. No one is really affected from that except you which I agree is miserable anyway, working while sick. I currently serve 400-500 people a day all of whom will come in contact with my cold or flu no matter how much hand sanitizer I try to slather on, and since the checkers switch stations all day long everyone gets it.

Saying that you treat everyone like crap is not name calling. You are the one saying grocery workers are "too lame to find other work" and telling me to stfu. The fact that you could care less about what happens to the disabled, the single moms, the laid-off workers that are trying to earn a living while working a lower wage job just shows that you think yourself better than them. It appears from your posts that you think we are all whiners when in reality taking this deal could cause a lot of people to need public assistance and food stamps, they could lose their homes. Way to step on your fellow man. My husband has been with one of these companies for 15 years. He has seen them cut and cut and cut from employees while they grow and make billions of dollars. They tell us these cuts are necessary so that we can remain competitive and then JOIN the other grocers to cut more. Where is the logic in that? In these hard economic times when the government is trillions in debt lets cut more wages and send more people to the food banks and WIC offices. Let's just push the lower middle class in to the lower class. But that's right, we should just all roll over and take it because it is a minimal qualified job. Please tell me what is the PLU for fennel and how does it differ from anise? And when you are done unloading a 1500 piece freight load of 40lb boxes go smile and be friendly on you feet for 8 more hours while people destroy your department and treat you like you are an idiot. Did I also mention that we are all sick all the time from working with people but can we go home and get better? Not unless we want to lose the pay. That's right! Grocery workers: the ones that handle your food, have to work with the flu because the alternative is no pay for 3 days. Enjoy that apple, hope you washed it.

Just proves the point of others posting here that our jobs are often overlooked and thankless. You probably treat the grocery workers you come in contact with in this same better than thou manner. I feel sorry for you living your life ranting at people on this board.
