It seems that this group is forming a pattern of butting in just before a demo, failing at attempts to save, and then saying "Well, we tried." There are so many geat old houses on the lower SE side that are worthy of restoration, but if they remain vacant and run down, they do nothing but harbor miscreants and create public health issues. It is an unfortunate situation, but if they are not going to be more proactive and less reactive, the outcomes will remain the same.
