Beautiful out in the desert but ugly when they break up the serenity and landscape of the prairie. Anyone that lives within a few miles of them complains about the noise and a vast majority of the families that have leased land to the power companies for the windmills (about $600 a month per windmill) regret doing so." That is a quote from our son who lives in Wisconsin with windmill farms near his area.
