Big Hollywood : 'Iron Lady': Thatcher Hit Job or Worthy?

Since we start with the "given" that Weinstein, Streep, and almost everyone else in H'wood hate and despise everything that Thatcher believed in, why would these people want to make a movie about her? Only one reason--to make her look bad. If I'm wrong, I'll say so publicly. But this group making a favorable movie about Thatcher is about as likely as them making a favorable movie about Ronald Reagan. IOW, it ain't gonna happen.

Big Hollywood : 'The Undefeated' Review: The Story of True Grit

The egotistical wet-noodle John McCain didn't want to win. He didn't want to attack Obama, and even though he made a brilliant choice in making Palin his VP nominee, he didn't want her to use her exceptional talents. Obama didn't win the election--McCain lost it.

Big Journalism : Condit Vindicated by Chandra Levy Verdict

Condit was vindicated only in the sense that we now know that he didn't kill Levy. Every other aspect of his behavior, including obstructing the police investigation with his stonewalling, was immoral, unethical, and probably--at least some of it--illegal. While he was trying to save his precious political career, he kept vital and important information from the authorities--information that might have helped them find Levy and solve the mystery of her murder sooner. Condit isn't vindicated--he's still the same self-centered scum that he was 10 years ago. He didn't kill the woman, but he helped the killer escape justice because of his (Condit's) scornful actions. He should've been prosecuted as an accessory.

Not to be picky, but Oswald killed Kennedy on Nov. 22, 1963--or did Humberto mean that the "headlines" didn't appear until the next day, Nov. 23?

Big Hollywood : Top 5: Once Great Directors Who Lost Their Mojo

Oliver Stone is a nut, as well as a liar. You can push that combination only so far in movies before the public, as opposed to the fawning left-wing Hollywood types, will quit watching. The public has obviously caught on to Stone's nut-liar-ness, and not a moment too soon. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Big Hollywood : Open Happy Birthday Thread: President Reagan

What a contrast Reagan was to the childish, spoiled brat we have in the White House now. Reagan the Giant--obama the pygmy. Then, the Towering Colossus--now, the snivelling shrimp. What have we done to ourselves? What have we become to fall so far in just 20 years?

Breitbart.com : Reality show mom gives birth to 19th child

Well, some people might consider a 43-year-old woman who has already had 18 kids still having children somewhat irresponsible--especially when it leads to the 3-month-premature birth of a barely-one-pound baby. What now, especially if the baby doesn't survive? Will this couple (probably) just call it "God's will"? Or will they (not likely) recognize their own responsibility/blame? This entire spectacle is obscene.

Breitbart.com : Viewers react with sympathy, disgust for Letterman

You misquoted me--I didn't say it was "necessary" to get rid of him. I said that lower ratings--when people stop watching him--is the only way someone of his low-class level will be removed from the air--only if he stops making money for the network. The network couldn't care less about what a schmuck and classless jerk Letterman is. As long as people watch and his show makes $$$, they'll keep him on. And so the POINT was that all of these comments and all of this breast-beating won't matter. If people are upset about what Letterman has done AND think that he should not be on the air, they need to stop watching his show.

Breitbart.com : Obama speech to students sparks new controversy

"I think it's really unfortunate that politics has been brought into this," White House deputy policy director Heather Higginbottom said. Excuse me. YOU are the one who brought politics into it--you and the socialist teachers' unions, who fall down and worship Obama without even thinking about whether what they're doing is right, ethical, or appropriate. It's not the teachers' job to teach the students how to "help the president." Did anyone think about that for even one second before sending out that "lesson plan"?

What a joke this administration is. From the safety of Washington they launch an attack against the patriots who kept us safe for 8 years. What will they say when we are hit with the next attack? Will they be able to blame the next 9/11 on the CIA, or on its torture of terrorists? Eric Holder is an embarrassing holdover from the Jimmy Carter era.

Having no moral values himself, Obama is not able to stand up for freedom. That would require courage, which he does not have, and a belief that some values are better than others, which he doesn't believe. Congratulations to those who put this moral coward in the White House. Are you proud now of how he is representing our nation?
