While he was trying to save his precious political career, he kept vital and important information from the authorities--information that might have helped them find Levy and solve the mystery of her murder sooner. Condit isn't vindicated--he's still the same self-centered scum that he was 10 years ago. He didn't kill the woman, but he helped the killer escape justice because of his (Condit's) scornful actions. He should've been prosecuted as an accessory.
