Midwest Sports Fans : Six Super Bowl 46 Halftime Show Ideas Better Than Madonna

I think Pearl Jam would be a great halftime show. They have the energy, the great songs, and the fan base to do so.

Corduroy was not a single, though it did chart. And Immortality was a single. Otherwise it would've been on the list.

True. Though it was never a single, I didn't want to put any radio-heavy or songs average people knew. The motive of this article was to show the diversity of songs Pearl Jam has and that their not well known songs are just as good as their known songs.

Yellow Ledbetter might get the most radio play out of all these songs, but I couldn't resist. Not every video shows a women balling her eyes out. Haha. And Present Tense is amazing. A lot better live too.

Force of Nature was on my original list. Great, great song. Riot Act is a great album, but, as you may know, cutting and trying to put only 19 songs out of Pearl Jam's huge selection of great songs (I'd say 95% are good songs), there's going to be some songs that get the short end of the rope.

You need to see them at least once, but I feel your pain. Their Youtube videos do a lot, but it is not a replacement to how good PJ is live. I hope you do get to see them man! Thanks for the kind words.

To tell you the truth, that was the last song I cut. An absolutely amazing song. I appreciate the input and the kind words. I am assuming you live in Philadelphia, so did you see PJ's 3 hour and 40 min setlist at the Spectrum when the band dressed up as Devo? That would've been badass to have attended.

I could easily put 95% of Pearl Jam songs on this list. I love them all, but , to me, these are the strongest bunch of songs you don't tend to hear on radio or tv or anything else.

Midwest Sports Fans : NHL 2011-12 Season Preview and Predictions: Western Conference

Aw man you're killing me with that "Corey Crawford was good, but not great last year" line. Crawford was 33-18-6 with a 2.30 GAA and a .917 save percentage. His numbers were even better in the playoffs against the offense of the Canucks. He had a .927 save percentage along with a 2.21 GAA. This is ALL with a VERY mediocre defense that was consistently inconsistent all season long. Given the circumstances, those are incredible numbers, and, I believe, the reason why the Blackhawks even had a shot at making the playoffs.

Midwest Sports Fans : Baseball Bashers: Let's Stop the Hypocrisy

Your lack of criticizing other sports' problems is what makes your argument so terrible. You're not going to be effective or persuade anyone with one-sided arguments with no qualifiers, as you can probably tell with the harsh criticism Jerod gave you. What ever happened to "I disagree." Arguing over what sport is better is like arguing over what color is better. I was raised watching and playing baseball. I love going to games. I love watching football because it is better to watch with a large group of friends. I also love hockey, tennis, and soccer, the three least popular sports in America that get the least amount of tv time and media. Do I wish that hockey, tennis, and soccer got more tv and media? Yes, but if a person loves a sport, then they have options to watch and see that sport. To think "society" is brainwashing kids to hate baseball is absurd, and there is no need to go on a smear campaign. Sports is clearly subjective. Just because you don't like what sport has the most demand doesn't mean you have the right to attack it. A lot people like football, and a lot of people like baseball. That goes for every sport. EVERY sport has its bad sides. No sport is perfect. To expose one and not the other is going to get you nowhere. All it does is make YOU look like the close-minded, arrogant person. Good luck persuading people with that method.
