I'm really frustrated with this site--I try to post something that is longer than 200 characters and I am not allowed!!!!! Some of the posts I see here are longer than a freakin football field--why are those people's statements so much more important to be seen here than mine? Do I have to earn space here based on my accumulated points, therefore making me more important?

I bought a new Saturn as soon as I heard Penske bought them from GM. I would never buy a car from Government motors and Ford had nothing I was interested in. I am now attempting to sell my 2002 Grand Am. It’s a great car with lots of life left in it and it should have sold fast, but because most dealerships in my area had no new cars to sell the past few months, they have been advertising used cars and flooding our market with them. While my car is listed everywhere I can list it and I want a lot less than dealers want for their’s—I hasn’t sold yet.

I think the biggest problem with the cash for clunkers deal is they are only asking for 4+ miles per gallon better in the new car. That is ridiculous to give THAT much money away for so little difference to our environment. A lot of bucks for very little bang.

A friend of mine is making bumper stickers or vinyl signs for car windows. Imagine that "Obama" is really an acronym:
One
Big
A*!
Mistake
America

I think he will be selling them, but probably not in a mall!

And be sure to wave to cars and pickups when you pass them on our 2-lane FM-roads.

I want to know how exactly we are supposed to be able to contact our lawmakers in DC. They don’t listen to my letters or emails or receive my phone calls. I am a member of “National Write Your Congressman” and that is supposed to give me some kind of clout to make them actually respond instead of either ignoring me or giving me a canned response. So far that is all I am getting and it is more than likely coming from their assistants and not from them. I have lobbied DC for children’s rights and I met several assistants and only one Senator, where I was not allowed even 15 seconds to talk with him about issues.

I almost threw something at the TV yesterday when Beck was a guest on the O’Reilly show and Beck asked how is it exactly that we are supposed to get our messages to anyone in DC. The absolutely lame answer O’Reilly gave Beck was that we should vote against our reps if they don’t vote how we want them to. Ok, so how does that help us right now with these absurd issues that are being snuck and/or forced into law?!?!?!

I will move back to Texas where my citizenship (by birth) would still mean something.

Earlier this week I heard the czar count was up to 32.

Oddly enough this is a quote from a speech BO gave while in Russia--"But think of the change that has unfolded with the passing of time. One hundred years ago, a Czar ruled in Russia, and Europe was a place of Empire"
Doesn't make sense to me, but then he never has...................

I have talked to a few friends and am so amazed at how uninformed they are! They are too busy posting endless topics on their FB status and taking stupid quizzes and they apparently don’t have time to go online to a news site or blog site and have a clue about what is going on in their world. I live in a Red state (I’m a displaced Texan at the moment) but its also a state that is fairly brainwashed and people my age don’t venture outside their parent’s beliefs.

I bought Glenn's Common Sense for my Kindle (e-reader) and finished it and had to go on Amazon to buy a bunch of copies to give away. When I ordered them this week, Amazon had them in stock, so you might get a copy faster that way.

I agree that Sarah stepping down was just one small example of how different she is than most other career politicians. And we need to celebrate her decision and support her and her family through our words here and on other blogs and our prayers.
During the primary and election last year, I spent a lot of time on web sites looking at congressional voting records, looking for confirmation of our candidate’s voting records to see if they were actually doing their currant job, to see what their work ethic was and might be in the WH. No surprise to me that at the top of the list for Missed Votes was McCain, Obama and Clinton.
I applaud Sarah for her consideration of her residents in Alaska and their tax dollars and for showing us she will stand up for her values and has more ethics than all of DC.
