Here's the deal: Without obtaining the permission of the original creator (Whedon) , this "movie" will not even come close to the success of the series, or the spinoff. Buffy fans have enjoyed 12 seasons of Buffy characters on TV, with the guidance and creation of it's creator. Now, some hack job and a couple of money grubbing tools want to come in and redo it? I think not! Whedon created the character and the series (yes, he wrote the movie too). At least show the man the respect that he deserves and WAIT until he's dead before redoing it! Not that I want the man dead by any means, but good LORD! Do we NEED a Buffy 'reboot'? Hell no! It hasn't even been 10 years since the show went off the air! Is it 'time'? Absolutely NOT! Give it a rest and come up with something ORIGINAL!

Turns out this was renewed before I posted my last comment, I was just on vacation so I didn't catch up with it: http://www.tvguide.com/News/Sons-Anarchy-Renewed-... We WILL see season 3 of SOA, and Sutter's been hired for 2 more years to do work for FX, so my bet is we'll see a season 4 as well ;) . Now, if only we could get full length seasons of the show

Mediacom has done nothing for it's customers in years. Dropping Sinclair (again) would be the stupidest move they could possibly make. I may not be able to drop 'basic' cable from them (paid for by landlord), but I can sure drop everything else I have with them, and that runs a good chunk of change. Why should people continue to be sucked into this Mediacom garbage ? Why SHOULD Mediacom get something for free that they charge customers for??

You're right abouut the lack of renewal annnouncement, but keep in mind, we won't likely see that till next year some time. For now, I would say Sutter's word is pretty good indication that things are going good
