Because there wasn't really that much time between that moment and the moment the Miz came out, and that seems like the logical time for casual fans flicking through who don't really care that much to change the channel.. I know if people on TV started yelling "change the channel" at me and I wasn't very emotionally invested in what I was watching at the time I would change the channel just for the lolz, especially if I was with people.
