This is quite timely, as Boehner is demanding that Obama explain his military adventurism, and the fun part; showing his work on what is his Constitutional basis for not getting a warfare permission slip, and more potentially entertaining, his reasons why we can't pull the troops out right now. While I am not very sympathetic to our seeming addiction to military diplomacy, this is a good time to point to this and ask Obama, "So, these are the guys you figured you could come to reasonable terms with? Yeah, I shoulda figgered. See, the I bought the computer through Newegg, but it's a CyberPower PC rig, and I happened to read the customer reviews from others who bought the same rig, and there were a lot of unhappy campers because of a craptastic motherboard that had bad rails for the Ram slots. Well, I didn't think I had anything to worry about 'cause my box came with a top-quality MSI-overclocker MB, rather than some cheapo. Now I see how they shuffled the paperwork to keep their profit margin up, by putting in a no-name pos PSU. I might not have had any problems with it, if I hadn't upgraded to a very power-hungry graphics card. Fortunately, I woke up to the problem before I blew up my components. hehehe. Once I get the new psu installed, I'll be in gaming nirvana, baby!

Rusty, I need your help, please. See, when I went and upgraded my graphics card, I didn't pay attention to the power supply installed in this computer. Well, I checked it out online, and found that the "700watt Extreme Gear ATX PSU" was the cheapest cheapo of cheap-ass components. So, I've ordered a new PSU from a local place, but it'll be prolly Saturday before I can install it. So the fuck what, you ask? well, I can't play any games until I do this, 'cause a cheap power supply pushed too hard can fry all kinds of expensive stuff when it dies. And I'm not about to let a POS $30 power supply fry the much more expensive components. Which means that you gotta pump out all kinds of posts, post-haste and pronto, que hermosa mujer!!! OhgodI'mbegginghere!W@@@@@hhhhh!

Steve Clemons classes that place up a bit, imo. He's a perfect fit, I think, and will have much to discuss with his new colleagues, particularly Jeffrey Goldberg, who is a good read on foreign policy, especially the ME/Israel impossibly-convoluted pressure cooker. While I don't think that Megan McArdle is always completely honest, I do read her stuff on occasion, because she certainly isn't stupid. More...mis-directed, mebbe. All-in-all, Mr. Clemons will get the added publicity he really deserves, and the public is starving for.

Jennifer Rubin is on my "most detestable pundit" list. Not for being a far-right lying sack of shit who'll push the most egregious of mis-statements and mis-characterizations imaginable; no, I really loathe and abhor her for displacing someone, anyone, that could be a real, honest, Conservative. While I agree that Weiner sure did give as good as he got, and accepting your qualifier "...most times", I wasn't impressed by his attacks on a couple of occasions. One of them I remember was his well-publicized fight with Megyn Kelly over the Estate tax. (translated for Teabuggers as the "Death tax") His attack wasn't useful because he did nothing to counter the common response of "why should someone's wealth be taxed yet again?" Instead he only replied with something about "They're dead; they're not taxed 'cause they're dead. Only the living are taxed." Of course, explaining why it isn't double taxation would entail much more details than the time-slot given in that forum. Regardless, he did what we lefties are asking the Dems to do more of; stand up on your fucking hind legs and shout the truth to blatant right wing lies. I mean, we libs are pretty good at pointing out hypocrisy when Dems do it, and that was what the Obama admin. cried about, but we'd prolly be a bit less strident if our side was as vocal as the opposition. Of course, that would entail the Dems not being just as bought-and-paid-for as their counterparts. ugh.
