No kidding! I know a few bloggers who still crank out 10-12 posts a DAY. I'm way off my 3-5 a day level. But Twitter and Posterous has taken the place of a lot of those posts. Maybe it's making blogging easier.

Yeah you THINK 1TB is a lot. I have a 1/2 full 1TB as NAS, 700GB attached for "stuff" 3/4 full, 1TB for timemachine (plenty of room there) plus a nice clean 500GB portable drive. Yes we keep a lot of stuff, but I don't print pictures any more. I don't have shoeboxes of photos. I have years of pics on drives. I lost a whole bunch to drive failure last year. That sucked. So I keep tons and just buy more space.

Hi Eric, Actually I'm trying out the Mac app Ulysses right now. It's on a 60 day trial. I picked it because it also has management tools and import-export. Just have to see if it works in the real world!

I haven't tried Peoplebrowsr, but it certainly sounds capable. I gather it's web-based. That is a plus. I just don't like having to keep a tab open all the time for it. Still going to check it out of course!

Great points Patrick. Yes, following 50 people I think Tweetie would be ideal. Lack of notifications or even Growl support, yeah that's a bigger gap than lack of groups. Now while TweetDeck might not be the most elegant app, I think Iain deserves serious props for innovating in a way that makes Twitter much more useful. I've been mulling over topics for my talk at next week's Vancouver Third Tuesday. One topic was titled: "Is Twitter the be all and the end of blogging". While I love Twitter for all it can do and does do for my info and communication needs, it seems to be like business blogging in 2005-6. Blogging as the be all and end all for marketing and communication solutions. Neither blogging nor Twitter are the be all and end all of anything, just more steps, refinements, and iterations on communications. Just sayin'
