I read a little earlier that the job was Clinton's if she wants it but he didnt officially offer it, because he doesnt want to be rejected by Clinton if she doesnt want it.

A source said, if Clinton doesnt want it Richardson will be a candidate on the short list.

Seems like Obama is just getting ready to make an announcement early next week one way or the other.

Another thing I read was that he wants Clinton because he knows he will be focused on the economy for quite some time and wants someone with "star power" handling state.

After the pathetically dirty campaign McCain ran the only thing he deserves is a right hook to the face.

If Obama offers him a spot in the administration I will not vote for Obama in 2012.

Sitting Senators don't generally get elected President. But under this scenerio she would have been out of the Senate for 8 years.

Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Harry Truman, Warren Harding have all been elected President after previously being a Senator since 1900, thats atleast six in the past 108 years. Six of the past 15 Presidents have previosly served as a US Senator. So its not some magical event that Kennedy and Obama are the only ones to do.

I doubt Clinton would be so naive to challenge Obama in 2012.

With some people suggesting Biden is a one term VP and will step aside in 2012 this could be a move that gets Clinton in the game now and can make a seamless transition to running mate in 2012 and then running in 2016.
