I would be embar-as-sed to attend as a Republican. This woman is clueless, her interviews and talking points are circular as parallel lines. I would be embar-as-sed to attend as an American, and have to pay for it? I sure hope the RNC is not paying her a lot of money to "pump" up the Republican base. That money could be used for something, anything better, than this entourage of caca casserole.

Paying for Jim Houser's salary increases is not a tax worth paying in my view. $80k now for part-time work these days is pretty good. Maybe we cut the salaries back to half and hire more EMTs, fire fighters, and police, at least they try to accomplish things in a timely manner and are important to our neighborhoods.

Would have been hard to prove he actually killed the girl in a courtroom...to show blunt force in the abdomen.....may have even gotten off if the jury was not convinced.....however, by him not playing it out in a courtroom, his lawyer knew sure as heck he was guilty, and thought they have a shot of proving him guilty, so they dealt for less........taking a plea is pleading guilty (informally without a public statement). This case is perfect for kids not to get pregnant out of wedlock, and not to do drugs that are made with bathroom chemicals....two more products of broken homes and the welfare state, and now our tax dollars....

Wow, a system where no one is above the law....incredible. Congresswoman Miller-Meeks, although I give your argument merit for its intrinsic loyalty to philisophoical litigative theory, the reality of it all is that there is a speed zone, and a red light (usually means stop in most cities across the nation)...and people are breaking the law. And the cameras are working in places where they are positioned.

Maybe we can start a LOBBY. Local Option Brick Breaking Yardfest. And smash up the bricks into tiny pieces, haul them over to the low lying areas near the river, and build a berm before the city floods again due the over/undersight of pet projects to actually helping the community as a whole. Dave Loebsack seems to be one of a few public servants that understands what is best for the district he represents, as well as the community he lives in. http://www.iowadnr.gov/forestry/eab/files/eabiowa... It still could take years for the emerald ash borer to make havoc of the ash trees here in CR. I think fixing the green spaces up after the flood might be a bit more important than cutting down trees that are not even damaged yet. I understand the reasoning for taking down rotten trees, but if the EAB is not even here yet, then we have time. Find more productive things to do.
