I am wondering if the Dems and Repubs want to keep us all diverted fighting amongst ourselves so that they can carry on politics as usual. The founding fathers were right in the estimation of elected politians - none can be trusted so they set up a system to be a watchdog. Problem is we are a long way from those safety measures.
