Maybe allow us to choose a range of numbers in a drop-down (i.e., 1-100, 101-200, etc.).

Paul Kedrosky: Infectious Greed : Drive-By Economics: Add Data Points Here

- I was at the King of Prussia (PA) mall last night (Saturday) and it was dead. Few people walking around (not many with bags) and even fewer in the stores. Before the recession, you would be falling over people. - I went to a Ross store (discount clothing) and there were quite a few people shopping. - I went to a gun show last weekend and it was fairly busy -- oh, and I bought a 9mm SIG, so you can't say I'm not contributing to the economy.

Paul Kedrosky: Infectious Greed : Drive-By Economics Time: Share Your Data

The local mall (King of Prussia) doesn't seem to be as busy as it used to and the people I do see aren't carrying many shopping bags. There are a couple of mixed commercial-residential town centers (one in Malvern, one in King of Prussia) that have been excavated but building has yet to commence (no activity in over a year). Restaurant traffic seems OK on the weekends, not so much during the week. I see a lot more younger, attractive women shopping at Walmart. I'm getting more coupon offers from local merchants in the mail. Philadelphia has gotten approval to increase the sales tax one percentage point.

I work for a Fortune 500 tech company. They instituted a salary freeze in January (in addition to layoffs) citing the economy, saying they would reevaluate in the second half. Recently they said they would continue the salary freeze through year end. BTW, the only hiring that is going on at my company is in India.
