Nitin 360 : How to Minimize Your Patient Acquisition Cost

There is no universal standard for tracking, since each practice is very unique. If your billing software can help you calculate average reimbursement per patient, then all you need is a Google excel file to track expenses and cost of patient acquisition (spend divided by number of new patients gained). I haven't come across a software to track marketing expenses for private practices just yet but will be sure to post if I do come across something. Thanks.

Nitin 360 : The State of Private Practice

Ann, thanks for your feedback. Social media is just one of the tools for what I like to call "C and C", but its influence is getting bigger and bigger. It's important for every clinic to have a presence, and a well thought out one at that. I think the approach should be simple - contact (using different modes) and connect (with frequency and meaningful content) - what I call "C and C"

Nitin 360 : The Complete Record - Your Practice's Biggest Asset

Jeff, thanks for your question. The best way to use Facebook is a) Ask your patients to talk about the benefit they got from working with you on their Facebook wall b) Friend patients on Facebook and say \\\"how is everything going today\\\" and engage them, without violating any of the privacy associated with the treatment and their condition c) Try and get the patients to \\\'sing your praises\\\' so their friends see that praise You could possibly use Facebook as an alternative to email in the \\\"complete patient record\\\' since there are lots of people who spend as much time, if not more time on Facebook than their email. The big one though in the list is the patients cellphone number.

Nitin 360 : Why 9 out of 10 Local MDs are Struggling (and How Physical Therapy Can Help them)

Alicia, thanks for your comment. This means we have to do a better job at educating, qualifying and motivating consumers and physicians to seek US as the first choice in the management of chronic pain. It has taken a long time, but the APTA has already taken some encouraging steps with the Move Forward campaign, and ultimately, we need to take action ourselves instead of depending on someone else / an organization to do the heavy lifting for us.

Hi Carol, good thinking.. I'd recommend charging the clients per month instead of per session.. and getting them committed, preferably to 3 months or more, and provide price incentives for long term commitments. Group Physical Therapy is the only way to increase revenue while cutting costs for patients and leveraging time for the therapist

Nitin 360 : PT Walks Away From His Practice (and still gets paid)....

Hi Ramon, he did not eliminate those who are in network, he decreased the proportion of his in-network patients. He also started considering his customers as 'clients' instead of patients and started offering them several products and services, including group physical therapy. He was able to identify and establish himself in a couple of 'niches' that none of the POPTS had started. With an intelligent marketing program, a good 'hook' and a system to follow up with doctors and patients, he was able to gain visibility and increase patient flow. Yes, people hold on to their cash in this economy, but that simply means we have to do a better job at communicating value and nurturing relationships. People still spend money, they buy from people they know, like and trust. He learned all the strategies in less than a year and every dollar he spent was based on "return on investment", not "actual money spent". So for example, when he bought the Referral Ignition program for $1497, he got 6 new patients that week - which at $1200 a patient (gross revenue per patient), his return was $7200, which is a return on investment of nearly 500%. I think it's best if we think ROI as opposed to total expense.

Nitin 360 : Las Vegas Masterminding - Secrets To 21 New Patients

Thanks for your comments. I'm not sure I'd compare anyone with them, we all do great work. If you have read my book, I use a combination of online and offline strategies along with market to message match to increase referrals. There is a significant emphasis in positioning, customer satisfaction and mindset, combined with the 'reverse funnel' concept, the 'referral generator principle', the 'physician profiling technique' and the 'website patient generation' technique that are new, cutting edge and constantly evolving. It's best to analyze for yourself - the use of peer generated marketing techniques, credibility of the source, innovation, inside knowledge of behind-the-trenches tips and most importantly, applicability.

Nitin 360 : High Definition Physical Therapy Marketing

Hello, there are several ways to get physicians to refer to your clinic, and I have expounded on them in various posts throughout this blog. Definitely, everyone should be treated differently, especially from a marketing standpoint, which is what I was trying to say. Thanks for your comment!
