Antiwar Newswire : EU tells Myanmar world is watching its elections

After 20 or more long years. The EU and the puppet master still thinks that warning the generals in Myanmar is going to make for anything but a headline in the western press. In a country as significant as Myanmar with the godfather next door china. Does the EU really think anyone in Myanmar is going to take them seriously? This article reminds me of a school teacher lecturing discipline in an empty classroom, just to feel important. LOL LOL LOL

Antiwar Newswire : Former enemies US, Vietnam now military mates

What a load of theatrical propaganda!! What is the Vietnam Government meant to do> Shoot the carrier out of the sea? Sure the Viets gave permission for this gunboat to cruise its water. Did the Carrier dock at Cam Ran Bay?? Now that would have been evidence of complicity in relation to ties between the US and Vietnam. Clearly it did not, which means the devil is in the fine print!!

Antiwar Newswire : US shows its power to NKorea with carrier drills

As this article says, the drills are far away from north Korea. That is good. If I have an enemy somewhere and do drills in my apartment to show my enemy who could live 150 miles away. So be it. Bit what I am doing, I guess she is bored anyway is showing my wife how tough I am. As for my enemy, I guess he is still snoring 150 miles away

The reality is this: With Britain or without Britain THE WAR CANNOT BE WON, ITS IN FACT ITS ALREADY LOST!! Sadly many innocent Afghans will die and not so innocent soldiers will die!! When the facts, reality of the war comes to its conclusion. The Afghans can fight for centuries, they have no where else to go. Can the west stay there for century's at millions a day? The answer to that is obvious.

Yes Sweden gave this animal Kissinger the Nobel Peace Prize with a million with it. It also gave the prize to Obama 3 weeks into his election win. People this Nobel Peace Prize is morally worth the spit of a beetle nut from some Asian proletariat. In other worlds-nothing at all. Shame on the Nobel Foundation.

Antiwar Newswire : Thai troops pull back from protest clashes; 5 dead

I don't support that Swindler Thaksin or his paid lackeys the red shirts. But now you see the reality. Thailand has a strong military contingent however hidden from rule. Despite the fact that Thailand is an impressive capitalist country, which have had many improvements under the king. The facts remain the same, it is not a true democracy. Little difference from reality vs propaganda in relation to Myanmar. Soon the military will carry out its duties and it will not be nice. When that happens will the USA/UK put sanctions on it? Never. This shows you the hypocrisy of the USA in relation to not just Myanmar but to every state it supports including the Narco state called Colombia.

Antiwar Newswire : Obama and Medvedev cut nuclear arsenals, warn Iran

Reply keithISGREAT 69p Your absolutely correct in your statements & I concur. I wonder how binding, or meaningful a treaty is under contract law?, if one of the signatories can dismiss the treaty as void, if she feels threatened by another, as is the case with Russia/MDS-in relation to this treaty ? One has to wonder if this is a treaty at all? In respect to Iran, I would lose respect for Russia if it stood by & let Israel, America attack Iran with Nuke BB as the US have indicated they would. It is not in Russia's interest to forsake an ally like Iran for so called allies like the USA, who's only wish is to see Russia Weak + Nullified. Lets hope its just another Russian chess move?

Antiwar Newswire : US suggests new engagement with Myanmar is failing

Here is the US Game in response to Sanctions, make the people suffer through them, so they can get angry, desperate enough to want regime change. Generals unaffected on the other hand, even if they want to improve the life of the average Myanmarise is restricted in doing do by Sanctions, therefore to retain power has to use more force to contain the state of affairs. One hopes this election is the first step to,not democracy but liberalization and a better life for the average person, they deserve it. Those lap dogs for the US- NLD are just that, paid to exist outside of Myanmar by the CIA. yes Myanmar is a rock and a hard place. Hard choices, on the one hand, nationalist hard line antique minded generals from another time & space and on the other hand a pack of CIA stooges, traitors wishing for color revolutions backed by there masters-USA. I wish the people change and a better life, perhaps this is the first step on the long road to that goal. By the way if you wondered who taught the generals to shot Monks, there own people?? Well it was the British, actually the Scots who were in charge on Burma at the time. Here is a tidbit of history for you! BRITISH COLONIAL TIMES In Rangoon student protesters, after successfully picketing the Secretariat, the seat of the colonial government, were charged by the British mounted police wielding batons and killing a Rangoon University student called Aung Kyaw. In Mandalay, the police shot into a crowd of protesters led by Buddhist monks killing 17 people. The movement became known as Htaung thoun ya byei ayeidawbon (the '1300 Revolution' named after the Burmese calendar year),[2] and 20 December, the day the first martyr Aung Kyaw fell, commemorated by students as 'Bo Aung Kyaw Day'.[4]

Antiwar Newswire : Myanmar's Suu Kyi denounces new election laws

U.S. State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said in Washington. "The political party registration law makes a mockery of the democratic process and ensures that the upcoming elections will be devoid of credibility. Wow given that it is proven fraud supported, funded by America in Afghanistan,+ Irag. The Americans have some nerve to be making comments like this in relation to Myanmar. After fact finding mission in Myanmar recently to determine the truth I have come to this conclusion. 1. After 20 years the pro American democracy movement is buried. 2. They are marginalised, useless, Aung Sung has proven to be with the swimming American incident, incapable of good leadership. 3. Aung Sung made a big mistake backing sanctions, stopping tourism, this has hurt the people greatly, while effecting the generals not one single bit, in fact strengthening them. None the less tourism has increased by 300% or more lead by Germany and the Scandinavian country's. Beautiful people+ beautiful country. It is generally perceived in Myanmar that the election is a step forward because it allows a change of guard from the antiquated minds of the currents ruling general to what the people hope here will be a new breed of forward thinking younger men from the military that will improve the lives of the Average Person. They care NOTHING about US style Democracy, instead like a lot of Asian country's care about JOBS, STABILITY, A BETTER FUTURE FOR THERE CHILDREN, PEACE. In the peoples minds, what system there is in place is not important so long as they can have those points written above. One of the most important points is the USA/UK want to re-colonise this strategic country to choke/control/encircle China in the straight of Malacca,(where china's oil passes-plus later on create a US military presence on the borders of China) + rob this rich country blind/ gas. oil, water, minerals, wood, gems + a lot more. Believe the US backed democratic front are unsure as of writing to join in the elections, not a surprise for me they would lose and lose badly 20 years is a long time to be in the wilderness.

Antiwar Newswire : Myanmar enacts election laws, paving way for polls

I have just come back from Myanmar to see for myself, having been bombarded with negative media what the country was all about. Firstly as I suspected most of the propaganda given to the western public is just that propaganda. This does not mean I support the generals but I do the truth, sometimes that hurts but it is still the truth. Here goes: The western backed so called pro democracy color revolution, regime change, funded by the CIA are finished, after 20 years they have been proven to be useless. This is why Senator Web was in Yangoon to discuss rapprochement with the generals. Its no surprise that the Aung Sung factions has doubts about contesting this elections. I doubt they have much support with the people with there stance on sanctions, sanctions hurt the people of Myanmar and not the general, not one bit. The stance that tourists should not visit Myanmar has angered the people as well, but that's failed since from Australia alone tourism has increased by 300% mostly there are a ton of Germans and swedes visiting Myanmar, like me, many have fallen in love with the people. In relation to the military having reserved seats in the parliament, this formula also works in Malaysia among many other states in Asia, if its not military, its ethnic Malays or in the case of Fiji, ethnic Fijians. So if this formula is unfair, then condemn most states in Asia. The west by having sanctions are hurting average descent people in Myanmar, maybe that's what the west wants. Assuming the generals want to improve the life of average Myanmar people? How can they? With sanctions in place? Maybe that the real game. WHAT THE PEOPLE OF MYANMAR WANT IS STABILITY, MORE JOBS, BETTER FUTURE FOR THERE CHILDREN, MAKING END MEET BY TOURISM. WHAT THEY DON'T WANT IS WESTERN STYLE US DEMOCRACY, NEITHER DID THE RUSSIANS, AFTER YEARS.You cant eat democracy can you?, you cant buy food with it. Ask the Ukrainian with the failed Orange revolution as failed as this saffron revolution. Questions are most country's in Asia democratic or Authoritarian? Malaysia, Singapore, China , the Kingdom of Thailand? the Middle East? Finally do you think the UK/ USA given there ,want Democracy in Myanmar or do you think they want to steal the oil, natural gas plus put military bases in Myanmar? Read Orwells" animal farm before you answer.
