http://www.knoxmccoy.com/ : Friday Food Free For All: Who Is The Pizza King?

Papa John's all day. Better ingredients, better pizza. I couldn't say it better myself...so I didn't. I don't think I've had Pizza Hut since the 90s. Dominos is like wanting Italian food and the only thing you can find is an Olive Garden. It satisfies the craving but leaves much to be desired.

RandomlyChad : I Don't Know My Worth

You're worth more than your words. Good or bad. You're worth more than anyone's affirmation or rejection. You're worth dying for. He would do it again if He had to. For the record, I think you're awesome. And not because you're funny or witty or a great writer or your breath smells good. Just because.

Relevant Brokenness : What are Boundaries?

This is beautiful, Marni. I recently wrote about boundaries as well. It's huge for me and I'm learning so much about them. Boundaries are so necessary and not a burden at all because they have purpose. They all have reasons and they all have consequences for crossing them. It's not the same as rules & punishment. It's so much better than that!

If I ever lose something, I have the perfect line: “Check underneath his gigantic man breasts.” This is awesome, dude! Thanks for putting me in the story. I feel like a celebrity. I've already signed one autograph. Or maybe it was a pink slip. I can't recall now. Can't wait for the next installment!

Relevant Brokenness : What is Authenticity?

This is great, Paula. I'm pretty sure we've all experienced the need to "fake it" in our walk and appearances to others. But let me bring up the flip side. I've seen so much of my generation that has become bitter and angry and went the other way. Because they've felt repressed for so long because of imperfection, they've begun to almost celebrate sin. I see this a lot in the blogging community. A blogger will air their dirty laundry for everyone to see. People will comment "Wow, that was honest and transparent." The problem is that isn't transparency or even authenticity, it's just confession. Transparency and authenticity is marked by explaining not just what but why. If you're talking about a failure or weakness, it's talking about why and how you feel about it. Then the final thing which is different from both is repentance. Confession should lead to transparency. Transparency should lead to repentance. Otherwise, we're just trading war stories and not moving forward.

Wow, I love that we wrote about the same topic from different perspectives. I really like this, Zee! I believe there are both rules and boundaries. They aren't the same thing. I believe boundaries are there for our protection without the same kinds of restrictions that we can sometimes have with rules. I'm going to write about it Thursday so feel free to let me know what you think when it's live! :)

Relevant Brokenness : What is Forgiveness?

This is beautiful, Ashley! My story with my dad is much like yours. I had no idea how freeing it was to me when I finally forgave him for real and not just in my head. The biggest lesson I learned is that forgiveness isn't excusing a wrong, it's removing the blame.

Ron Edmondson : The Post I Shouldn't Have Posted...and How it Changed Me

I see this all too often. Even when I don't know the person, I can always tell when the "analogy" JUST happened. I don't think I've ever posted in anger but I've definitely had to check my motives when posting about another person for illustration purposes. I always find that stories and real-life examples are more poignant but they aren't always appropriate to write about as soon as they happen. It can be tough to navigate but your criteria is really helpful.
