well, we'll see what happens in court. for all of those calling to chop my member off, grow up.. you really dont know the whole story. im ashamed to coexist in a world where justice is thrown out because people are too emotional to think properly.

KCRG : YOUR COMMENTS: Health Care Reform | KCRG-TV9 Cedar Rapids, Iowa | Local News

When has the government ever done anything right? 'Cash for Clunkers' has been found to install software on your PC to intercept and copy files from your computer, they can't even figure out how to distribute the bailout money. Now we want to trust them with all of our medical records? They've already made a list of people "unfit to live", over 1 million people will not be covered, and the amount of money they'll put into it will make it impossible to pay your own medical bills. You think it's bad now with government subsidised insurance? Our state of health care is so bad BECAUSE of the government, giving tax dollars to the insurance companies, which is what inflated the cost of medical care to where it is now, now they want us to trust them to fix their mistake by taking over completely? No thanks.

Heres another idea.. If you want to do something about it, patrol the park yourself with a boombox. When you see people having sex, play polka music very loudly. It's the easiest way to ruin sex. It's a fun and harmless way to "take back the park", even though it's not anyones park to begin with, which is why this would be the best way to "fight" it. It'll just move them elsewhere to have sex, but at least it'll feel like you did something to change the world.

Yep, all the police need to hear is 'suspicious black male' and the park will be heavily patrolled. I'm not trying to be racist by saying it, it's sad that it's true, but mr diabeetus is right. However, I dont think the park should be heavily patrolled, let nature be nature, it's not meant to be patrolled, it's meant to be a place away from the controlled confines of the city.

I applaud the sheriff for interpreting the law instead of acting based on hysteria. Why are people making a big deal out of people having sex in a remote part of the woods? I think leaving condoms out is disgusting, and the people who are littering should be punished, but people should not be punished for having sex, period. It's human nature. Oh, well what about the poor innocent children who might see it? Um, it's human nature, they're going to see it eventually. The trauma is more based on forcing them to be victims instead of them actually having any negative feelings about it. Knock off the hysteria, it's getting really annoying. Kids are not stupid, people have sex, it's natural human activity in nature. Grow up people.

KCRG : KCRG-TV9 Broadcasting in All Digital | KCRG-TV9 Cedar Rapids, Iowa | Local News

Oh cool, finally the transition to digital TV has been completed, now we're only about 10 years behind the rest of the world instead of 50-60 years. Progress is good, but I see this just being the beginning, as converter boxes become obsolete once the new h264 standard starts being used. Also, the reason that this transition was pushed so hard is so the FCC can collect their tens of billions of dollars for selling the spectrum that analog TV used to use, and they'll end up selling more spectrum once the switch to h264 allows for more narrow channels and less bandwidth (more value!!! and we can get even richer!!! omg this is brilliant!). It's twice as efficient as the current standard, and its what the rest of the world is already using. Also, considering DVB's error correction is superior to DTV, I don't get why the US is pushing 10 year old technology with poor error correction (the 'blockiness' you see when the signal is poor) when the worldwide standard is far superior (its a lot more forgiving when the signal is weak, and the picture quality is a lot better too, and allows for more subchannels. Oh well, we'll get there, just way late as usual.

minors arent even allowed to testify for the defendant in court. its not about justice, if it was, the state wouldn't be the ones charging people.. but since children dont have any rights whatsoever to file charges themselves, theres no way they can file charges, which is why the state has to be the ones to charge sex offenders and "take care" of the victims with mandated therapy/brainwashing.

well, any crime against a minor in iowa puts you on the registry. not all of them are molesters, actually only about a quarter of them are rapists or molesters, most of them shouldnt even be on the registry in the first place.

no, the worst offenders should have longer sentences, gps wont stop crimes from happening, and the us military has already said that gps systems might start failing as soon as next year because they dont have the money to maintain the satellites anymore, then what? dont let them out if they are truly dangerous, monitoring just makes it easier to find out if they committed the crime, it wont stop it.

they dont? they do have similar cognitive differences and white matter patterns according to recent research.. there are parallels, and considering pedophile rights movements were sanctioned by gay rights movements prior to 1993, i dont know why you have +5 considering you clearly didn't do your homework.

good. double standards are getting boring. i haven't seen anything saying he raped her, they're probably just stupid people who didn't think they'd get caught. people make mistakes, his life shouldn't be ruined over it, which will definitely happen if he's put on the registry. if he raped her against her will then he should be charged accordingly. he should probably know by now that theres giant risk to doing what he does, but people want to set arbitrary numbers for ages so he was probably confused and didn't research it. he's under 18, a juvenile. if someone had sex with him who was over 18, he'd be the victim, so it doesn't make sense to charge him as an adult because of what he did? you wanted an arbitrary age for maturity so you could separate people into different classes, so why do you keep changing the rules on them? it's a double standard, and it needs to stop.

KCRG : Psychologist Pleads Guilty in Child Porn Case | KCRG-TV9 Cedar Rapids, Iowa | Local News

All of you people who are saying "THROW AWAY THE KEY!!!!!" and "I HOPE HE FRIES!!!!111oneone" are ignorant. You don't know what he had. The definition of "child porn" has been so expanded in the past few years that now even CARTOONS and TEXT can be child porn. It's illegal to draw a nonexistant child who may or may not be naked, the nonexistant child doesnt even need to be naked for it to be considered child porn anymore under the new federal laws enacted in 2008 (thanks for protecting us from evil drawings Senator McCain and Vice President Biden). An Iowa man is facing prison for having comic books that depicted a child in a "sexual manner", hm, I haven't heard anything about that on KCRG, isn't that a bit odd? Perhaps they keep expanding the definition so they can put more people on a registry and keep track of as many people as they want, and the public WANTS this for "the safety of our children!!". WAKE UP. This is nothing new, pedophiles have always and will always exist, but thanks to all of you you've run them underground and the dangerous ones wont seek help now, and at the same time we're officially sanctioning hate and torture. Good job, fellow Americans! Way to mirror Germany pre-WW2 (Oh, I'm sorry, our failing schools don't really teach that anymore, you might want to read up on that though to see the path we're on, it's a bit scary)
