Big Hollywood : Gwyneth the Goop Girl

Although I don't personally care what Gwyneth (or Sean Penn, or Matt Damon) think, this is a good article in that it exposes the pretentiousness of Hollywood thinking. We know it's pretentious, but specific reminders help us remember how dangerous that line of thinking can be.

Big Journalism : HOLDER: Whites Can’t Be Victims of Racial Injustice Because They Haven’t Suffered Enough

This makes me want to vomit. How can an Attorney General get away with using the phrase 'my people' anyway? Let a white Attorney General at ANY level try that. This is the most hypocritical jack-leg to ever 'serve' in that office. Disgrace!

Big Hollywood : Romantic Comedies: An Oasis for Conservative Movie Fans

I actually like rom-coms, I'm a sucker for them. I think it is largely due to the basic traditional theme that you know they HAVE to make it work, and of course (almost) everyone likes a happy ending. BTW, even in "The Break Up" I think the redeeming feature is that you know there is hope that the relationship could end up going somewhere, now that both characters have had time to develop away from each other.

Big Peace : Obama's Nihilistic State of the Union Address: There's Nothing There

The lies will continue to become more complex and devious as we head to 2012. The key is to expose them. I was surprised the AP did a 'fact check,' although it certainly could have been much more thorough. But it's a start, I guess...

Big Peace : Afghanistan: Sex, Pedaphilia, and Security

Just another example of why we may want to consider sticking to traditional marriage as a culture. Doesn't work to be celibate (Catholic priests) and doesn't work to denigrate women to the point where they're a non-entity.

Shame he didn't get public funding via National Endowment for the Arts for it, then it may have been nominated for a festival award of some sort. But you knew something was wrong when even Vince Vaughan got hammered for saying something was 'gay' in his latest COMEDY script. Pu-lease.

Breitbart.tv : Outrage: Marine, Wife Attacked by Teenage Thugs at Theater

I emailed our local station after a crime was reported and they described the suspect without naming his color...happens quite a bit here. I finally asked point-blank "Do you guys not mention the race because you feel you have to be politically correct?" and the reply was, basically, "Bingo." Unreal, here a suspect is on the loose and they can't even say if he's white, light skinned, black or whatever. How does THAT help society?

Big Hollywood : Music Video: Utopian Riot's 'Like It's 1984' -- Hard, Anti-Progressive Rock

I dig it and I've listened to ALOT of metal ('83 was my heyday with Dan Marino joining the Dolphins and some of the great Hairbands entering the scene). Lots of potential, keep pushing creativity, though. I don't have a problem with the music having a message, you get a message from most of the music out there, even if it's just 'check out how low my morals are, maybe yours can get this low.' BTW, if you dig a Christian message, Skillet is one awesome Christian hard rock band, great show, too. They're touring with Papa Roach right now, look them up, it's good stuff.

Big Hollywood : Bring On 'The Expendables': I Was a Teenage ‘Expendable’

Rock On! Great commentary, and I have agreed with this stand for years...you don't want a flimsy-armed lib. protecting your borders or your daughters, and boys/men need an outlet or catharsis for their 'dark' violent side. That's why when you take toy guns away from boys, they use their govt.-issued earth-themed eco-ruler to blow away their pretend enemies. Anyhoo, great article and one I totally agree with, AND it brings back memories of my glory days watching Stallone and Norris, to boot! Thank you!
