Droughts do affect corn prices. Just check out the commodities pages. That said, the main problem with corn prices is the EPA and its mandate to make ethanol---which is unpopular and useless. The lie is in the ethanol. It costs too much energy to create it. It uses corn that can be better used as food for humans and cattle, and it pollutes as much as other energy sources. Change your sources and get some common sense---something the EPA and Obama Administration don't have.
Do the farmers hire high school kids to unwrap the candy bars first?
Every kid's dream, to be fed candy on a regular basis. And why is there a corn shortage---besides due to the weather? The EPA and Obama forcing farmers to sell corn to ethanol companies to make a fuel that utilizes electricity---from big batteries probably---and pollutes more than gasoline does. Going 'green', as usual means more costs to the consumer for everything and more pollution from the supposedly 'green' solution.
They won't be set free. Their PETA protectors will take them over, stick them in small pools where they can swim endlessly in circles, and display them for a fee as prime examples of PETA caring.
And they actually do have rights, as all humans do. PETA has no problem putting down animals any more than it champions the right to put down innocent babes.
What will ensue if this lawsuit procedes? All our pets, lab animals and resulting medicines, show animals, etc. will be freed to the wild where they will probably die from lack of good nourishment and treatment by the other animals. The feral lions and coyotes will then flourish from having new sources of food. Fifi will become the love slave of Herkimer the coyote.
By the way, oh Breitbart headline writer: where is slavery legal? It must be legally flourishing somewhere in the US for you to write 'illegal slavery.' Breitbart, you have to stop hiring Liberals to write headlines. They don't have the brainpower for it.
This is a frivolous lawsuit if there ever was one. The Constitution does not cover animals any more than it covers foreigners. Treatment of animals is a moral issue. And remember, God gave man dominion over the lands, seas, animals, etc. Captivity is not per se detrimental to an animal. Nor is performing. In most cases, the animals flourish under such conditions. They are fed and carefully treated far better than they'd get being feral. PETA should be heavily fined for bringing this lawsuit and wasting the Court's time.
Why does building a weapon of any type warrant a visit to the White House to visit the marshmallow-in-chief or his s'mores wife? Such demonstrations belong in an auditorium.
