http://www.tnasylum.com/ : New Name Associated With Aces and 8s; Plans For Group Change

If TNA insists having Garett Bischoff stay on the main roster then turning him heel and putting him in Aces & Eights is probably the best case scenerio. Hopefully he is not a main player in the group & hopefully being part of the group will at least make Garrett tolerable if not enjoyable. Make no mistakes I think he needed to be pulled from the main TNA roster a long while ago but I will take this over creative trying to force the audience to accept him as a babyface.

Bully Ray has signed a new deal and likely Devon as well. Obviously I can't prove any of this but its the only logical explination. I also was thinking what Lobo has said that the contract negotitions was leaked delibertly just to keep the IWC from suspecting Rays involvement in Aces & Eights. I also highly doubt TNA would still have a belt around Devon at this point if he wasn't already signed to a new deal, especially after being directly involved with the Kenny King situation and seeing how embarassing that was for ROH.

I agree a lot with Talon: WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Austin Aries (c) vs AJ Styles Bobby Roode vs James Storm LETHAL LOCKDOWN MATCH Sting, Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Rob Van Dam and Mr. Anderson vs The Aces and 8s and Bully Ray (who I also suspect will end up being the leader) TV CHAMPIONSHIP Samoa Joe(c) vs Magnus (Joe wins title before BFG) Joey Ryan vs Al Snow X-DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Zema Ion(c) vs. Kenny King vs. Sonjay Dutt TAG CHAMPIONSHIP #WTTCOTW(c) vs. Chavo/Hernandez vs. Kash & Gunner KNOCKOUT CHAMPIONSHIP Ms. Tess (c) vs. Tara (heel turn)

http://www.tnasylum.com/ : MisterTNA Talks...Singles Championships

Have they changed the X-Divisions rules to under 225 lbs? The weight limit in the past was always explained by "it's not about weight limits, but no limits". Hence guys like Joe holding the title. So as far as I can tell there are no weight limits for any title. Hell there are not even apparently any gender rules either hence Eric Young as knockout tag champion.____I like your idea of the top title being called TNA World Championship. The label heavyweight has no use in today's professional wrestling landscape. As for the TV title. I would maybe suggest instead of a specific PPV getting a shot at the world title instead maybe add the stipulation that any wrestler that holds the title for a certain amount of time (6 months?) or maybe defends the title successfully a certain amount of times (25?, in theory its being defended every week now) could then get the chance to trade the title in for a shot at the world title on an episode of Impact Wrestling.____Trade in world title shots could be a fun and unique idea for TNA. I just hope it doesn't lead to a lot of vacant spots in TNAs title historys. That would suck.

http://www.tnasylum.com/ : How TNA Can Make Their PPVs Stand Out More

First things first. TNA either needs to make the PPVs live tv specials on Spike or actually make the PPV the big event for the month, which it currently takes a backseat to Impact. I like your ideas Talon but would also like to see them take a page from WWF & WCW in the 90's. WCW had a freaking beach setup for Beach Blast, large silver tassels for Starrcade, tombstones set up for Halloween Havoc etc. , WWF did similar things as well. They don't have to be massive but maybe decorate the stage up with road signs for Victory Road. Set up pieces of cage/wire/barb wire around the stage for Lockdown. Hang up the actual banners they have used for the BFG graphics for BFG. Gold colored lights and trophies/awards on stage for Slammiversary. Final Resolution can obviously have a holiday theme. Wreaths, multicolored lights etc. Not gonna name all the PPVs but those are some of the obvious and easy ones. The most important thing is obviously the quality of the wrestling but putting an effort into the presentation would go a long way towards making the product better.

http://www.tnasylum.com/ : Chris Jericho Comments On Whether He Thinks TNA Could Legitimately Compete With WWE

Chris Jericho has a long history of trying to provoke internet wrestling fans and I think this was another attempt to provoke TNA fans. With that being said I agree with Jericho on TNA or any other company ever reaching WWE's level. WWE has grown in to monster and I just don't ever see anyone catching up to them. Like many others have already said, how cares? You can still be a very profitable, entertaining #2. Didn't Jericho only a couple days ago say that he would "Never work for WWE again"? Yet he goes into saying everyone wants to work for Vince McMahon and WWE. No doubt he will show up in WWE again.

http://www.tnasylum.com/ : RUMOR: Early \"Word\" on Bound For Glory Buyrate

Wrong. First of all as a fan of TNA, and someone who hopes they will succeed and continue to grow, if they can get 25,000-30,000 PPV buys good for them and I am happy. I honestly think those bogus reports (yes they are bogus) say the PPV buys are higher than they actually are. I personally think they are much lower. 1) Anyone that pays for a TNA ppv at this point is a sucker because history shows at least half of the PPV card will happen on Impact in the form of rematches and more often then not, title changes will happen on impact as well. I'd like to believe there are less then 25,000 suckers that watch TNA. 2) If the actual PPV buys were in fact what are reported or even higher I would think that at some point Dixie or some TNA official would have released and confirmed the information, if for no other reason to show they are doing better then what is being said online. The fact that they have not tells me that there is a good chance the numbers are even lower then what are "reported". Getting information from private companies is easy. Your absolutely right. The doesn't make the information accurate or true. I'm sure the "reporter" has regular conversations with someone affiliated with TNA. I'm sure that guy loves the attention and will give his opinions on the questions hes asked. Doesn't make it right. I guarantee you only a certain few individuals know the PPV buys. Otherwise detailed specific reports on the subject would be all over the place. This isn't the case. Instead of the vague reports from the same few jackass's with bullshit estimates that in some cases have 10,000 buyrate range (15,000-25,000 buys or 25,000-35,000 for example). As if that wasn't ridiculous enough, it takes a public company such as WWE sometimes 2 months to get the numbers for their buyrates. You know those rates are real because by law they have to release that information. So were supposed to believe that one of these "reporters" have the buy rates for a TNA ppv in a week and a half? Yes WWE has far more buy rates then TNA, but that wouldn't make the reporting any different. The delay in getting the numbers is from compiling all the data from all the different cable and satellite providers, of which TNA and WWE are available on the exact same amount. Obviously this debate is going nowhere because no one has definitive proof on either side of this debate, so everything comes down to opinion and of course common sense, of which anyone that believes all these "reports" obviously doesn't have any.

You're right, I assume that. I don't have a wrestling dirtsheet site like wrestlezone and all those other \"news\" sites to write my opinions and pass that off as news or rumors.

However that report is clearly bull (my opinion). If you don't think so, well then I guess its not shocking given the level of stupidity that exists in the world today.

BTW I'm not calling this bull because the report indicates TNA's buys were low (especially considering they were \"down\" from the supposed amount of buy numbers from last year). I am calling it bull because people outside a few of Dixie's internal circle do not have access to these numbers. Dixie and company clearly do not want anyone to know these numbers since they have never officially commented on any PPV buys. So when sites like these mysterious have buy numbers less than 2 weeks removed from the event, to anyone with a brain who doesn't just accept things spoon feed to them, this would signal a red flag.

All that being said, personally (again my opinion). I think those sites are over guessing the buy rates. I love TNA but why would anyone buy their PPV? They have most of their PPV matches as rematches on Impact, and title changes seem to happen more on Impact then the PPV. I wouldn't be shocked if the REAL numbers were actually much lower than 25,000.

http://www.tnasylum.com/ : GUEST COLUMN: \"How to Kill a Great Feud in 2 Weeks\"

I agree. While I was surprised like many about what has happened, if TNA does what you said the feud can even be better. I think more people would enjoy a title chase with the face James Storm after being sidelined by Roode battling his way back to extract revenge and get his world title back over a heel chasing for a world title (even if it is Roode who everyone was excited to get a world title run). People will say well then Roode should have won the title in the first place. Maybe but again Roode screwing Storm out of his world title and then sidelining him adds a lot to the feud. Hopefully the feud does go in this direction. The one thing TNA once again has done though, is make a great case NOT to buy any of their PPVS. 2 World title changes in a period of 2 weeks on IMPACT? Why would anyone buy a PPV? This happens way to frequently.

I think it was made up because its absolutely stupid. Too Southern? What the hell does that even mean? There is WAY to much OPINION written off as "news" or "rumors" on all these dirt sheet websites. No sources are ever given (I understand for legitimate news, sources need to protected) but this of course opens the floodgate for opinions to become news unfortunately and I'm sorry but thats exactly what this report is. The fact you had that concern only tells me you share the same opinion of the author of that "story". And thats fine for you to have that opinion (although again I ask how is James Storm too southern?) More so if he is "too southern" why on earth is there any concern over that? FK9 put it best when he mockingly said Roode didn't win the title because he is "too Canadian". Thats exactly how silly and ridiculous a comment calling for concern over someone being too southern is.

I too have been watching Austin since his time in USWA and WCW. In fact the Hollywood Blonds might be my favorite tag team of all time (at least top 5).

I agree being from the south had very little to nothing to do with Austins gimmick, nor does it have anything to do with Storms. Aside from his nickname of \"Cowboy\" or \"Tennessee Cowboy\". He talks like hes from the south but so did Austin, thats the only thing that I would say would prompt anyone to call any of them too southern.

But even if he is, it is ridiculous to make up (yes it was made up) a story about how there is internal concern over him being champion BECAUSE of being \"too southern\". In any wrestling company that would sound ridiculous but especially a company that is based in the south and has a history of using Nascar and country singers on their shows.

You bring up the Sandman and actually I would say that The Sandman, \"Stone Cold\" Steve Austin (not Stunning) & \"Cowboy\" James Storm have a lot in common and I think a lot of comparisons can be made between all 3 characters/gimmicks.

Nothing alike, really? Maybe try watching Steve Austin during his WWE run. Storm & Austin were both rednecks who just didn't give a damn. For Austin this was the perfect gimmick for having a feud and "storyline" where he "hates his boss". Austin's gimmick wasn't hating his boss in 96 when he won the KOTR and mocked Jake Roberts, he was a southern redneck who just didn't give a damn, he was the Texas rattlesnake. Austin's gimmick wasn't hating his boss in late 96/early 97 when he had one of the best feuds in wrestling with the great Bret Hart. His gimmick was that of the anti-hero. A southern redneck, who spoke his mind, drank beer, and just plain didn't give a damn. All the things that Hart didn't stand for. Yes, Austin and Storm are different in many ways but the basic breakdown of their gimmick or character is the same. A beer drinking, redneck, who you can't trust and just doesn't give a damn.
