It is a lot of characters to explain in a two and half hours, and these characters are each unique and immersive the audience really has to get to know them. I think The Watchman as a movie this is the best an audience is going to get, but it may be a short time before it gets translated again into a miniseries. The miniseries medium needs to be rethought. Maybe someday a studio will instead of a 100 million dollar 2 to 3 hour movie, make a 12 to 20 hour miniseries that has the necessary scope and depth to tell the story to its fullest extent and giving each character the necessary screen time they deserve. When compared to its counterpart of Saving Private Ryan, people general say that Band of Brothers is better of the two. NO ONE WANTS TO SEE THIS MOVIE, IT HAS BEEN DONE, with flat characters and round ones. It is not about making it in Gothic or Documentary style. The crow also is such a 90ies story anyway, does an audience today want to watch another movie that about the kids in hot topic. Is this gothic crap ever going to go away.
