How To Make Money Online : Google Instant: Marketing Genius

I also think that the instant results will be integrated into more Google products moving forward. For instance at launch these types of results are only for signed-in Google users, but will eventually roll out to the public, mobile and I assume toolbars etc. as well.
How To Make Money Online : Google Instant: Marketing Genius

I see your logic in this, but my point was primarily that it is easy for a user to continue refining their search without having to resubmit a query. I think it will take some time for users to shift their search habits towards longer tail keyword to get more relevant results but we all shifted our searching habits a little bit as we started using Google in the first place. Ever notice how a veteran Google searcher feels slightly frustrated with Bing and vice versa?
How To Make Money Online : Cause Marketing: The New A/B Test

I genuinely think cause marketing is good for business. I had a drink with someone who used to be the VP of Marketing for Coldwater Creek (before she left to start her own business) and she was saying that they saw something like a 400% higher return on cause marketing efforts than traditional promotional channels.

TechCrunch : TechCrunch Friday Giveaway: We Don't Want This Xbox, So You Can Have It

My xbox 360 red ringed :( I need more hard drive space (20gb.. like that actually does it for anyone). Besides, with Netflix etc displacing Cable TV for me.. it is important that I have a device that is quieter than my original 360 was!

TechCrunch : Decoding Microsoft's Fantastic Passive-Agressive Numbers Post

What this really tells me about Microsoft as a company is not that they are off track from a revenue standpoint, but that they simply need to run an advertising campaign to alter the filtered view most people have of them. Windows 7, Xbox Live etc are actually quite excellent product. I love my iPhone, Macbook etc but can appreciate how far they have come as a company!

The College Startup : Social Media could learn from Hikers

It is great to hear that you are able to use Twitter search effectively, but consider this. Has Facebook been so successful because it not only is just an extension of real world connections, but that based on the web of people on the site it is able to make more intelligent recommendations for people you may already know? The main point I was trying to get across here is that Twitter's value proposition is not immediately clear to the average consumer because of the amount of work required to find those meaningful connections. Most users are used to Facebook where the connections just seem to gravitate towards them and they engage with new connections almost passively.

The College Startup : Most People Hate Success

Nice thoughts on the problem of those who never even tried. Entitlement is like a virus throughout the U.S., too many people expect 100k + salaries post graduation without any effort or experience. Absolutely ridiculous!
