Exactly. But I still think there have been some major overreactions. More gov. control? Yes. Socialism? Your out of your freaking mind.

Find someone still using Clip art and get them to let you design for them. They will buy you what you need and you can learn at you own pace. That's what I did. Although, admittedly my pace is really slow.

Even When No One is Listening : Watch This Video

No regrets or hates or bitterness but I applied to a good seminary...I left one that had been taken over by someone who was serving their self interests. My seminary experience was for me mostly a waist of time. I believe Craig described his experience and then said "how about you?" I answered that part. I guess next time I'll just keep my story to myself unless its a positive one. I don't have to have to be hanging on to bitterness to express my opinion of what's happening. Look into what's going on there now...if you agree with it, more power to you.

Ragamuffin Soul : I've Never Seen A U-Haul Behind A Hearse

Dude, we almost spent $400k on a house in NorCal right before God called us to Myrtle Beach. We had the offer accepted, earnest money exchangeged, plenty down, great credit, but the bank wouldn't give us a loan. Thank God for that. I can't imagine the crap we'd be in now. We definitely would own our house here.

Even When No One is Listening : Just Ask

About six months ago my wife and I moved out to South Carolina from Northern California to help plant a church. We had to raise support. I'm not saying I'm an expert because I'm not but just make the call. The worst thing that can happen is they say no. I've heard no a lot, but I've also heard yes a lot. Also, don't put any expectations on people...the people you think will give won't and some you never thought would, will. God will provide for those who do his work.

Ragamuffin Soul : Did You Grow Up In Church?

Grew up in a very traditional Southern Baptist Church. My dad and I started the first worship band and there was hell to pay. We didn't clap (unless someone had been on staff for any time divisible by 10), we didn't laugh, we had to wear ties, and I'm not sure loved others. I stay up at night thinking about the church (its going downhill fast, not in numbers but divorce, scandal, leadership leaving). As a church planter, I do everything I can to guard against the things that lead to apathy and self-centeredness as a church.

Warren G. Regulate. My dad found it and listened and was not pleased with the language. His punishment didn't work since I still listen to Jay Z, Common, Kanye, T.I. amongst others. I'm sure I get some funny looks being an almost 30 white dude in South Carolina with two kids head-bobbin' in the back seat to Lil' Wayne as I pull up to church to lead worship.
