Well I also had wopping cough at three but obviously I didn't die from it. Some things are better now but I agree there seems to be a lot of USA people younger than 40 who are wussies.

We prefer to avoid travel when the roads and all the places are crowded. We will probably BBQ at home and I will probably spend a couple of hours working on a Kinetic Racer with some friends. Then we usually climb up on the roof and watch the town's fireworks display.

Addanac City~ daily comics : A Hire Power

I'm sure the bazoomy chick got sucked up (heheh) straightaway by someone else. No need to worry about her getting a chance to work. You did the favor to the flat chested skinny chick you hired. I did toonlets on this in 2009: http://toonlet.com/archive?m=s&i=28494 http://toonlet.com/archive?m=s&i=28509 Someday I will draw all my toonlets myself and put them in tix-comix.

Addanac City~ daily comics : A Hire Power

It goes both ways. It's just that traditionally women haven't had employer power as often. I'm an egalitarian and a woman. I know for a fact that women can be as big of anal sphincters as men. In the traditional power structure, jerky women typically restricted the bulk of their evil to other women, and no one cared because any woman who complains about anything is just a whiny beeyotch. The lookers have always had the power to screw with men's brains and exercised their power whenever they could. I couldn't afford to hire an unqualified individual no matter how hunky, but all else being equal if I had to choose between a hunky guy and a squirrelly guy, I would choose the hunk, just for his extra decorative qualifications.

Addanac City~ daily comics : Selecting The Most Useful Promotional Materials For Your Webcomic

I think your card does a great job representing your comic. More specifics would be nice, such as exactly who does this printing and what are their price points. In fact they might even do you a deal if you (a satisfied customer) billed this blog post as a testimonial. So now the even more critical piece of data: how do you target who gets these cards and how do you distribute them. Let's face it, giving them out to people coming out of a pentecostal church on Sunday morning is probably not going to work. Giving them out in a mall? Going door to door? And how do you measure the efficacy? Finally, I'd put a 10% off the comic book offer on them or something.

the way it is : I Like to Travel Alone

I enjoy both travel alone AND with friends. But too much togetherness is stifling on a holiday even w/ my hubby. So we always find things to do alone and then we share a meal or something else at other times. Balance is good.

It is a cool thing to do. We have sponsored children through childreach for over 20 yrs. I think we've had at least 15 over the years but we've never actually gone to visit one. I think that might make me feel weird.

I can relate to that. I just sat through Grand Torino for the third time last night, I mean it's OK but I had already seen it twice. But to be fair my right foot was swollen up to the size of a football and itched like crazy. Stupid bees.

This is a reality comic for me. When I was little 10 y/o GS I was cruising the hood w a case of thin mints and a gang of 8th grade boys said they wanted to buy some. I put the case down to take their money and they grabbed it and ran away.
