one thing guys my iphone battery battery sucks i just used it for one day and it drained what is that is that a general problem or it is just mine and is there any solution out there?????
when i open itune and try to restore with iPhone2_1_3.0.1_7A400_Restore.ipsw by holding shift and clicking restore some thing loads and after that itune tries to verify with apple the restore and after that a msg comes up and says your device is not eligible for the requested build .... that is what i mean by saying apple does nt let me do that

i just read in hackint0sh that in order to jailbrake with redsn0w even if you are on a 3.0.1 frimware 3GS you have to browse iPhone2,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw in the first step of redsn0w.. is that correct guys ? coz i have been trying to JB my 3GS 3.0.1 with redsn0w and i browsed iPhone2_1_3.0.1_7A400_Restore.ipsw but it says unable to recognize specified IPSW
hey guys right now I'm on 3.0.1 firmware baseband 4.26.08 and never jailbroken or unlocked and i want to do both and i was thinking about using redsn0w and ultra sn0w and I'm reading a tutorial that in the first step of redsn0w i have to restore to 3.0.1 but as we all know apple doesn't do that any more so should i skip this step and start with redsn0w and browse the iPhone2_1_3.0.1_7A400_Restore.ipsw and let it work or there is something i should do first
ps: i don't want to upgrade... one more thing does pwnage tool solved the battery issue with redsn0w or even that issue is not even there with redsn0w???

well i ahve 3.0.1 firmware never jb neither unlocked and right now I'm reading a tutorial how to JB and it says browse and restore with a 3.0 firmware it doesn't say anything about browse and restore with 3.0.1 firmware my question is does this tutorial is for 3.0 only or this was made when there was only that firmware and right now if i wanted to JB with redsn0w in the restore step should i browse the 3.0.1 firmware???and go along with it
but i don't have a MAC, well he did it and he s not a hacker or a pro and i didn't have ECID SHSH on cydia, the whole thing is when i tried purplera1n a box appeard that contained two choices don't send and sent if you know what i mean and i clicked on don't send and now my iphone and my bro's is stuck on those images so i don't know if the firmware was deleted or not...
so what will work in your opinion?? or how da hell that guy put it back into 3.0.1 firmware???
coz i have tried it and nothing happened, so tell me one thing if i downloaded redsn0w and a firmware 3.0.1 from hack that phone and pluged that iphone into the PC and when all the way what will happen?????
