Silly ridiculous comments like this are perfect for this issue. It is silly that religious wackos (singlediptwist) think they know whats best.

I'm not really into turtles though. Can we ammend your initiative to include other wildlife or objects. I have my eye on this little brushed steel reading lamp.

Singlediptwist...hetro's are not FORCED to accept anything. They do not have to engage in gay activities or participate in wild gay parties. The gay community have been FORCED to accept the hetro world brought to us by religious nutjobs who think they know what is best for everyone.

Is this not the same issue that California went through? You cannot vote to take rights away from people. Once the state passed this into law...that's it. You religious nutjobs who think they know what is best for everyone now can dedicate their time to abortion or some other thing they think they know best about. And when (not if, when) they lose that battle they can move onto outlawing sex outside marriage or some other nonsense!

Why is is that one person has an imaginary friend they are crazy. When thousands of people have the same imaginary friend it's called religion?!?

GET RELIGION OUT OF POLITICS. If you don't believe in God then his rules don't apply to you. I really don't see why the government need to decide what marriage is. Two people that love each other and want to spend their lives together. The reason they need recognition is for benefits...just like anyone else.

1) Why did the kid not tell the teacher he could not swim?
2) Why did the parents not advise the school the kid could not swim?
3) Why is a school testing for swimming ability? Not a scholastic requirement. WOuld he fail P.E. if he could not swim?

The teach did not say he did not know who the kid was. After they pulled him from the water he did not realize who the kid was.

I am sick and tired of religion getting in the way of government. Religion is a belief and even if you don't believe in it you are subject to the beliefs set forth by the religious. Look at my insurance policy..."Acts of God" are not covered...What if I do not believe in God? Why is religion deciding who can and can't be married. I think the world has bigger issues to worry about. It does not affect my life at all if two men or two women want to marry. What does afect me is the wast of time that our gov't spends on an issue like this becasue the religious fanatics want it their way.

You make your own point in your post. If the title is not that big of a deal...let a gay couple have the title. I also think that it may have to do with benefits (medical, life insurance, etc.)
