An elevated unemployment rate could become a political liability for President Barack Obama when congressional elections are held next year. The last time the unemployment rate topped 10 percent, the party of the president - then Ronald Reagan's GOP - lost 26 House seats in midterm elections in 1982.

This will happen again......This was the worst placed stimulus I have ever seen. The stimulus is going to be a big waist of tax payer dollars and will not help jobs at all. At least half of that stimulus should have been put back to the tax payers to get the private sector going. The public sector does not create anything.

That was before the Bush era. The real way is to reduce spending and give a tax cut. NOT borrow from China and give a tax cut.

Don't give me this cr@p. Don't tell me this is taxes from Corp and the wealthy. Only the lowly working stiff pays the taxes.......It all gets passed on.
The government needs to look at its waste and fat, not just now , but all of the time. And not just tax when it runs out of money. And not now when the private sector is trying to get back on it feet.
