I absolutely think that this is a great concept. I listen to last.fm a lot and ended up buying songs of which I had no idea that they existed. The recommendations made by last.fm were really great.
The current problem with itunes is that it only lets you listen to a song for 30 seconds. Far too short to make up one's mind.

Would this mean that Google Search specifically applies to the way that Western people tend to think given their culture.?And that Google might not work so well for other cultures? Would they have to consider culture in their algorithms?
