Ron Edmondson : To Change or Not to Change...That is A Good Question

Change is my friend, however it also depends on what kind of change it is. Does it benefit me, will it help me, is it a change for the good, are we being risk taking, does it support a vision..? There are some changes that I don't like, more like backward change.

Christian Web Trends Blog by OurChurch.Com : Check out February's Top Commenter, Keywords, Posts and Funky Keywords

Typically what I've learned from analytics are that most people who visit my site came in through searching google, and what's popular is normally something I wrote about another blogger, church, or book. So my most popular post for February, not surprisingly, was "Elevation Church’s – “This Is How We Change the World” documentary – watch online this week only" http://bit.ly/dE3XVv A couple of my bizarre keywords were aistra 2011 and loughton tucson.

Ron Edmondson : 3 Places to Find New Church Leaders

Those are great places to find leader! I've found people who could be potential leaders or volunteers by watching them and asking them to serve. Sometimes you can also find them online by looking at who they are and sometimes you can just tell they'd make a great leader by what they are saying there.

Ron Edmondson : Friday Discussion: Is Social Media a Blessing or a Curse?

In the world of an offline (or in person) introvert social networking is a blessing. It gives me a way to communicate and have friends when if there was no internet I'd be lost and silent. For me it's a blessing. I also believe that being that we're in the 21st century now that if you want to go with the flow and be where the people are the church should be online as well. Personally I'm more likely to visit your church if you're active on Facebook or Twitter, have a good website, or have a good blog. If I can't find anything on you, I probably won't show up. My thoughts.

Ron Edmondson : Friday Discussion: Where Do You Belong?

There are a lot of places where I feel I don't belong or where I don't fit in. Belonging is hard for my in the real world because I'm not good with talking and if it's not structured I have no idea what to do. I don't really feel like I belong in my family sometimes too. I struggle with it because I'm not like the people around me here. The things I like to do are not considered the norm for my age group and others. I fit in with the young children, on the worship team, behind a computer, and in the elementary classroom that's about it. Now online I fit in like completely. I'm with a group of people who know what they're taking about. The blog, Facebook, Twitter, email, reading blogs, leadership, Church Online, etc..that world I fit in. But outwardly offline I don't fit in because I'm into social networking and the like. In other words the people around me haven't caught up to the times. I think what helps us feel that we belong is when we feel loved, valued, accepted, and have something in common with the others there.

LeadingSmart : The Church...Not an Institution, but a Movement

Agree, agree, agree. I so love your vision. How do you teach a church how to dream and have a vision? I want to help my home church with this but they are lacking it, it's like I try but they don't seem to understand what vision or dreaming even is or why they should want or care about it. Any ideas? By the way I really really really love your vision and plans. It's like beyond what I can comprehend, you guys are amazing!

When I think of courageous leadership I think of someone who is big and strong or small like David. Someone who has the strength to face the enemy or stand up to someone instead of backing down and being scared. I think of someone who perseveres through the hard times.

gordon marcy : Has Internet evangelism reached the tipping point?

I love how you look at it as being "the church online" vs just "church online." Those are the same but yet different with different meanings. I pray that as our online resources continue to grow and the church becomes more powerful and influencial in the online world that we would be the church online. I also like how you mention that this is a great way to involve Seniors and reach out globally. My thoughts on internet evangelism is that God is where we are. If we are a Christian and are spending time online then it should affect our online world. I believe in it whole heartedly. Thank you so much for sharing this post, great thoughts!

Ron Edmondson : 7 Ways Extroverts Can Better Engage Introverts

I'm an introvert. I agree about the needing time alone, I'm around people way too much and it gets to me. I think it's also easier for introverts to spend time online chatting with people or being social then it is physically.
