I was in Versailles when he came through and was almost taken out when he got to Main Street. I have to agree with the original poster. I realize stop sticks were used and they didn't seem to help the situation. I was amazed teh chase went this long. He drove from Sidney to Versailles on St. Rt. 47 and then around Versailles, finally back to Sidney on 47 and was starting to head back to Sidney before action was taken? St. Rt. 47 is a pretty open area. I will give you Versailles was not the best area to authorize deadly force be used but how could he possibly get all the way back to Sidney and then be taken out in Logan county? The citizens were very lucky in this case. If it would have happend just 30 minutes later the band would have been marching on the same streets he took. This would have been a disaster. We are very fortunate no one was hurt or killed in this ordeal.
