I went poking about online to see if I could find somewhere to chip in to buy her a new scooter, and she's been given a replacement! http://www.torontosun.com/news/torontoandgta/2009...

Womanist Musings : Sunday Shame: Gross Food and Outing Friends

I hear you on the tinned meat thing - Im hopelessly addicted to tinned corned beef. I only have it every 6 months or so, but when i get a craving, i have to run to the shops quick smart. It was a food my grandmother fed us a lot as children - she never got out of the WWII mentality of cooking. It still brings back lots of fond memories.. Peanut butter on toast with grilled cheese on top is really tasty; you need to use a sharp cheddar though.

Womanist Musings : Blogging and Conversations

I check your blog daily, because it challenges my perceptions and helps me confront the privilege bestowed on me by society. Nothing is spoonfed or sugar-coated, and I really appreciate that. This blog has helped me cement some significant changes in the way I understand the problems faced by WOC, and this opportunity would not have been available to me outside of the Blogosphere. This in turn allows me to influence, or try my hardest to, my own microcosm. I thank you for that.
