I'm amazed at the common theme of sauntering as one of the greatest possible evils. And they didn't even seem to be living in big cities where you might LITERALLY be killed for sauntering on a busy street!

Also, I thought it was interesting that home was where "sisters dwell and brothers meet" - because women stay at home all the time whereas men, even boys, have more license to be in and out and meet rather than just always be there in one place.

this is VERY well thought out

That is DEFINITELY what I thought at first lol, especially because I was just watching a very interesting video on why Asian women are often hypersexualized while Asian men are often thought of as less masculine. One of the reasons for this is that Asian men emigrating to the United States in the 19th/18th centuries were in many cases not allowed to operate machinery or work in factories and were thereby relegated to more stereotypically "feminine" professions like working at laundries or cooking at restaurants.

Anyway, this is all a long-winded way of saying that going to buy cat food fit right into this narrative of "feminine" pursuits so I was very confused!

Thanks, I thought to look that up myself as well right after posting (which I should have done first!)

Bite is a slang term for penis in French, and catt is the second half of the word pussycat so I guess euphemistically and argotically it all makes sense?

Sorry if I am being really dense - but not fully understanding the bitt for my catt line. Could someone please explain!?

Unlike all other times, that had totally understandable and normal expectations of female sexuality!? Not trying to criticize your point but I think that phenomenon is pretty much universal and timeless!

Hilarious that only Harry was called out for his severely inappropriate Nazi costume when the entire party was Colonials and "Natives"- really sickening given the extent of British-caused deaths in India and so many of its other colonies

The syntax of this confused me. Is the superior sex in reference to women or men?

She is my everything muse. To have those gorgeous fringey kimono blouses and wide-legged swooshy trousers! The little hats and the long coats!

(Except for drop waists. Let's just pretend those were never a thing).
