The Tiny Life : Living In A Tiny Home

While moving is a chore, with less and less Stuff it get easier I would suspect. Moving is exciting, then you can focus on the exciting part because you don't have to actually move so much.

The Tiny Life : Living In A Tiny Home

I have taken this advice that I got several years ago. When faced with uncertainty, fear, or social discomfort, sometimes the best thing to do is to lean into it. You used that phrase "lean" which I think it is a easier said then done of course, but is commendable that you do it everyday. It is hard to grow when you stay in the realm of the of your comfort zone.

They are built on less than an acre in most cases. We sure did talk about Kunstler in our chat, thanks for the kind words :) Ryan

The Tiny Life : EXO HOUSE

Its very small, it is really only intended to have a safe to sleep and to lock your belongings in during the day. I would guess around 100 sq/ft at most. The idea is to get these setup while real housing is being established

The Tiny Life : Getting Cold Feet?

Good tip! I thought about using that pink foam sheeting could also help during the colder months, but the spray foam would fill any gaps and seal it up nicely.

The Tiny Life : Cage Homes

I think the whole cart thing is rather unique to America. In general carts are used at large supermarkets, which isn't very common (compared to the USA). I know in several countries that to get a cart they are locked, to unlock it you put in a Euro into the handle to unlock it. After shopping you lock it back up and it releases the coin so you get it back, but the carts then are always locked up.

Brilliant point! I wonder what our world would look today if we simply managed land, not commoditize it? Obviously goes against the American mentality of ownership and need for material things, perhaps you would like to write a post on this subject? email me ryan112ryan @yahoo.com

The Tiny Life : Recycle Locally

I guess I have always thought that the comments section was more for the readers, not so much for the blogger. The one thing that i really wish I could change, along with more readers, is more commenting being done by folks. I really want engagement, I took a look at some other tiny house blogs and see how they respond, perhaps my approach is wrong. What do you think?

The Tiny Life : Rethinking Big Box

Wow! £15 at the grocery store! I live in the USA and we would pay roughly £4 to £5 for that many eggs in the store, at the farm I could expect to pay £2 to £4. Americans consume the most food in the world, however, we pay the least amount for food in the world.

There are many folks who are trying to approach Tiny Living in a city and there are those who hate the country life. For me, I hate city life, visiting is fun, but I need room to roam and stretch my legs.
