I like how things are shaping up. My only gripe is that the outdoor fireplace really needs to be enclosed, not out in the open, exposed to the public like that. No one wants bored, roving teens getting any bad ideas.

Yeah, I was the one who posted the link to their Youtube videos (when that one was brand new) the very day this blog entry appeared. See the very first comment here, I put the link as a comment to my comment, rather than start a new thread. I think KearnsTeam may have also dropped a mention of that video on the previous entry, too, just to cover the bases. But like I said, it's always good to repost, since folks miss stuff. Things do tend to get buried here, even when they're in the first post! :D

Hahahaha! The infamous Labrador Imposter breed! That's awesome :) For some reason I'm reminded of Charlie Dog in the old Looney Tunes classic, saying: "I'm 50% Pointer - 'There it is! There it is! I believe Kathy just wanted the address to confirm on Google Maps to see the area. But just for your own curiosity, this address was confirmed by a much cleverer blogger than I earlier in this game, very shortly after the location was announced. They went to the Town of Stowe VT website and poured over the boards there to see what permits the Zoning Office had approved in May (http://www.townofstowevt.org/othernewsnotices/621.html) and found this notice: Project #: 4211 Owner: SprucePeak Realty LLC Tax Parcel: 14-016.000 Location: 138 Ski Club LN Project: Demolish Existing House and Construct New Single-Family Dwelling Effective Date: 05/27/10 That project matched all of the HGTV information that had been released regarding when they had started construction, it was located inside Spruce Peak and it matched the spot on on Google Maps when you look at it in 3D and see where the ski trails line up (the roof that you see there at the end of Ski Club Ln is the old residence). We here are a crafty, crafty bunch :)

Ooh, or here's another idea... what if that box is a laundry chute (or laundry dumb waiter) coming down from the Master Bath and opening up on the other side of the Garage wall, in what is supposedly the Utility Room? That room is as big as the Kitchen counter area, which means there are a lot of counter tops in there... perhaps for folding clothes, maybe sewing and arts and crafts, too? Now I'm extra intrigued!

It's an awfully big box of space for utility lines. I know you have a floor plan in your Facebook photos, but they're a bit different from what HGTV is showing. See slide #2 of the official HGTV floor plan here: http://www.hgtv.com/green-home/hgtv-green-home-20... Could it be the A/C then? Which is actually what I originally meant to type. Here in the Deep South, the A/C unit is often shoved into the same place as the furnace (often a crawl space or attic), so I just refer to the whole thing as the furnace (i.e. go change the furnace filter)... but I know that's not the case in all locales. In one of the earlier pics in your Facebook album, the west side of the house is marked "A/C" by the garage, but I suppose that could also stand for "alternating current" for the electricians.
