It's actually very cheap, not "Westland's cheap" unless you go to PC World. The top 3 shops have the best prices anywhere in Nai for nice warranted stuff.
You can disable it's internet connection when you're not using it, this helps prevent the phone from downloading updates and stuff and clearing your credit without permission.

The Online Kenyan : Blogging: Wordpress.org, WP.com, WPMU, WP.com VIP

Wow, what a nightmare.. even scarier is the fact that it could happen to any blogger site. I get your point on the insecurity of a blogger site. Though it can happen to anyone at any time, I stay with Blogger coz of the amount of rank I get at Google. Eventhough it's not on paper, guys at blogspot get nice spots on SERPs. But that was one scary scenario.. All information gone just like that... I don't know what I would do if I lost all that. Am backing up my blog right now... but I don't think that'll be happenning to me

I actually agree with you. If you host your site, Wordpress is the best. However on Blogger, they have free domain mapping, hence you can point your domain name from http://theonlinekenyan.blogspot.com to http;//www.theonlinekenyan.com [both sites point to this place] Meaning, you don't have to pay for hosting as it is hosted over at blogspot. And compared to WP's free alternative WP.com , with a bit of code, you can customize it however you want. When it comes to CMS, WP.org is the best, however if you auto-install using Fantastico, it is prone to hijacking, as was the case of afromusing.com. All it takes is installing one bad plugin with a malicious base 64 code and the so-called theme/plugin creator infiltrates your system. Other than that, like on your site; WP.org is a great CMS.

The Online Kenyan : M-Pesa Goes Global: 45 Countries

Airtel needs to pull up their socks in terms of add-on services that they provide. Safaricom is slowly growing out of just the communication arena, I think Airtel will continue reducing it's prices for the telephony consumer base

@Caro You can get a blog free of charge at blogspot.com, tumblr.com, wordpress.com, posterous.com. Then start publishing your poems. I'll use that to feature you on http://blogs-kenya.com/archive If you use tumblr, posterous, or blogspot you can point your blog to blogs-kenya.com then instead of chebet.blogspot.com you'll have chebet.blogs-kenya.com

The Online Kenyan : Writing Great Blog Posts

Nice site. I like the amount of content you write, that's very important. You can try creating a Google webmasters account and going through their optimization tools, as well as submitting you xml to search engines. I recently created a site blogs-kenya.com with which you can get a 254joblink.blogs-kenya.com instead of .blogspot, with all your blogspot features and traffic.

POWO was an awesome idea and I think it'll go along way in boosting literature from Kenya and the larger Africa, given a chance the chance. The thing that Kenya, and Africa, has over other places is the ability to get all these content writers under on roof as POWO did. Kudos.
