I would have to agree to this. Film's get sequels to finish a story that hasn't been finished, for the most part. At least the good ones that I've seen follow that logic. Sequels for money tend to suck. Look at the Shrek movies. Brilliant set of films, but now purely exploited for money. It's sad that quality movies get pushed aside by money hungry bastardized movies.

A sequel to Independence day would suck. Period.
