No where? I know a lot of idioms come from the sea/the navy. "going overboard" "squared away" Is that one of them?

Crasstalk : Recipe Sunday: Shrimp Scampi and Cheddar Biscuits

They are really good. The Sheese was very cheddary. They both are melty and delish. Soy cheese is a revelation for me! Enjoy!

I'm wondering about the phrase "stopping in one's tracks." Aren't tracks footprints? How could we stop out of our tracks? Isn't it redundant?

Oh gosh good question. Hm. The 2 I liked. One was called Sheese (I know, wtf) and I got it at Whole Foods. Very cheddary. I wouldn't eat it alone, but I made a cheddar and broccoli pie (Sheddar and broccoli?) and it was yummers. The other was Veggie Shreds, it was good as well. Have you tried either of those?

Possibly only slightly related note: I've been using vegan cheddar on everything. I'm not a vegan or vegetarian so you can believe me when I say that it tastes and behaves exactly like real cheddar! Only without the problems dairy sometimes causes for me. My brother and husband (serious eaters and carnivores) also can't tell the difference.

All joking aside, I'm not surprised. Kids seem so clean cut now. Their influences are Twilight and Justin Bieber as opposed to, I dunno, Clockwork Orange and the Sex Pistols.

I feel the same way. It's comforting to know that they miss us too. Richard even posted on Crosstalk saying that he misses all of us. That said, I'm in for the organized resistance.

Oh I wish I had read this like 20 minutes ago. I've been so busy all day but finally have some time to chill and drink gin before bed. I went over there in a nostalgia-y mood and even commented. But it was awful. Who are all those people? Crosstalk is dead except for people (Lawson included) missing us and commenting on the deadness. I love the idea of an organized boycott (commentercott?). I'm in!

Nice double entendre in the title, Nat Geo! They could have also called it "Getting Horny" if it was about rhino, deer, or narwhal sex. I will find it and watch it. The subject of all my artwork is freaky or imaginary animals , so I consider stuff like that research.
