I may not agree with everything this coach believes in, but he did turn out a winning football team. And as the earlier comment said, Boulder is becoming Most Uptight city I have ever lived in before. Some of the most selfish, uptight, elitist, entitled bunch in this kooky town.

Tina Arapkiles, you and your cronies need to get a life and move. Open space is not your private sanctuary so you can go on your walks with your rich entitled friends who have mcmansions all over Boulder. I am so sick of your rich scum that has invaded Boulder. Other places in Colorado seem to co-exist fine with hikers and mtn bikers on the same trails. Here in Boulder, we have stuck-up $ouchebags like you and your clan who want the open space land for their own personal use and no one to tread upon it without paying some fee, etc.

iSick of hearing about some millionaire dude who did this and that for the world and yet in all reality it led to mindless drones walking around not in touch with reality or those around them, caught up in their iPods, iPhone, driving around not paying attention, etc. etc. Yes, RIP Steve Jobs but there are more important things to be focused on such as hunger, homelessness, poverty, and how the rich corporation are taking away from those in need.

Finally a sensible comment on this board. You are totally correct about Boulder being filled with a bunch of easily offended self-righteous nut jobs. I am from the Western Slope part of Colorado and Boulder is the coffee shop joke. Running your dogs behind your truck is not a big deal on the country roads. Farmers heading out to the store and the dog will follow them for a bit and then when it is time for the dog to go home, the farmer will just drive faster and the dog will give up and head back home. I hardly think Joan Zalk is a animal abuser, I just think people in this town have nothing better to do than taint the good name of one of their fellow citizen. Everyone of you that does such is a pathetic excuse for a human being. Karma is going to be such a bitch one day for you. Anyways, I think everyone should stop their pathetic witch hunts and focus on their own lives and mind your own business. I might not have said I had a gun in my car to that nosy busy body lady that would walk to my truck to complain about something, but I would sure tell her to go F off.

don't let Boulder City Council have anything to do with this or they will make laws about the beings on there not owners of their pets, they are guardians. All aliens must shovel their sidewalk by 12pm if it snows there that morning, and...oh yeah, you only have :30secs to talk at any of the meetings.

not normally. The bus drivers get to the Bus Barn, as we called it, early to get the buses started and warmed up. They all have block heaters on them, so starting them in no issue. Most everyone has some kind of electrical cord going to their car's engine. If you don't, you will most likely not get your car started until the sun shines on your car during the later morning hours. Yes, it is painful with the negative 10 below or more temps, but that is just life in Gunnison during the winter. The school buses are also a lot more beefed up there for snow and icy conditions.

Since most of the Boulder City Council Members make more money than a lot of us regular folks do, I think they should pay for their own iPad toy. I don't really see what they do as a "real" job anyways. Bozo the Clown and Clarabell the Clown could do the same job and actually do it right.

Shoveling the sidewalk near your home is just a courtesy thing to do. Ever watch the mailman as they try to go from house to house, day in day out and then they have be careful not to hurt themselves on those stretches that are not shoveled or just a solid sheet of ice? We don't want those people to get hurt, nor the UPS, Fed Ex, or just people walking about, getting a walk or jog in for the morning or evening. It is just the nice thing to do. We need to stop thinking about it as a mandatory thing; shoveling the sidewalks should just be a neighborly thing to do for the community. Being that you have a home to live in, to stay warm at night, to eat your meals, etc, you have something that some people don't and should be thankful. There are many people who would be overjoyed to have a home with a sidewalk by it, a yard in front, things we sometimes take for granted. So, shovel your sidewalk not because someone tells you that you have to do it. Shovel your sidewalk because it keeps your mailman safe and keeps other people from hurting themselves too.

the girl in the photo looks content and happy. Nothing wrong with reading a children's book. There are some fun one's out there, and they can be relaxing after a stressful day in Boulder. As far as the floor being dirty, I think that is the children's section she is located and I believe they vacuum quite a bit in that area.
