I was so ready to fight about this, but nope, I agree completely.

Especially because I was Dream Ballet Laurey in 8th grade and not Ado Annie and that was an Unacceptable Time.

I have poked a Degas!

When I was fourteen and in Paris with my grandmother, I was at the Musee d'Orsay, and standing alone in front of one of the paintings of ballerinas, and I just... reached out and poked the corner.

And then I just walked away, half expecting to be tackled by security guards. It was amazing.

I... don't really hate the Katniss thing?

I mean, yes I hate it, but it seems so bleakly realistic to me. She's broken, everything she went through is functionally for nothing, of course she does things she doesn't want to do, that tear her apart, and she gets through her life by dissociating completely.

Right, but there's a difference between enjoying because you're happy and enjoying because you're self loathing.

Which is to say: He would 100% enjoy it, but it would also make him broodier.

I saw that bedbug story and immediately posted it to the group facebook chat of my gang of pals who have just VRBO'd a cabin in the Poconos for a long weekend in November.

No one was amused, but apparently there is a registry somewhere and our cabin has never had a report of bedbugs, so yay?

I just think of that Fringe epiosde about the cosmonaut who came back to earth with some sort of Entity intertwined with him, which sometimes leaves his body and just... turns people to ash? And then they kill the cosmonaut but at the end it's revealed that he started breathing again SO THEY JUST SHOT HIM BACK INTO SPACE BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO.
