As a Muslim, I'm appalled by this latest killings. When is it going to end? Just because someone drew a comic on our Prophet, it gives us the right to simply kill others? The Prophet got treated a million times worst during his life time and what did he do? He forgave everyone involved in whatever mischief against him and reiterated that he was just human, he too, won't be free from making mistakes.
Why out of a sudden we have these unrecognised Islamic groups going on a violent rampage worldwide? We didn't have all these nonsense twenty or thirty years ago.
I would put my blame on the Wahabbis, a new brand of Islam that is spreading like wildfire now, started in 1930s in Arabia, propagated by the current Saudi government. They are strict for the wrong reasons and also intolerant of others, and would resort to violence if agitated, even slightly. Sounds familiar? Yes, I think it has already planted its roots here in the form of ISMA and Perkasa.
I really can't see where the saving grace would come from. With Saudi's wealth, they would be able to do anything, anywhere. We Muslims must quickly find someone or some entity to stand up against this tyrannical ideology.
What are you yammering about? Why do I need to have any original thoughts on this matter when all I wanted to point out was how gross this Ali Abd Jalil is? I find him as obnoxious as Ibrahim Ali and all the other extremists. My only question is why do we need to show support to a person like this just because he's being targeted by the govt? If Ibrahim Ali was targeted by the govt the same way as Ali Abd Jalil, would you support him? After all it's freedom of speech, everyone have the right to say what he wants, according to you.

If you had READ his postings you would have known that he, as a matter of fact, did ADVOCATE violence. So who's blind here?

There are means and ways to voice our disapproval with the government but Ali's methods defies logic and common sense. Let me guess; you haven't read Ali's postings on FB.
Did you even read what he wrote on his postings? Please quote me one example. It's like postings of a mad man, incoherent thought process and void of logic. I'm surprised that the authorities even cared to check this guy, and even more surprised he got supporters here. He clearly have a screw loose on his head, basing from his postings.
It's amazing to see how people here support this man without realizing who he truly is. Have anyone here ever read Ali Abd Jalil's postings in Facebook? He hates PR as much as he hates BN. He believes in the communist ideology and he says that both PR and BN are capitalist parties that should be destroyed. If you don't believe me, go and take a look for yourselves.
Death threats just because of dogs? I'm a Muslim and I find this attitude disgusting. The world will judge on how far we have progressed as a nation by looking at our social conditioning. We have a long way to go, by the looks of it.
