Think about it - we already have enough kids graduating that are 20 years old. All homes should be a "learning environment", but we all know that isn't the case. I'm not against home-schooling, but I do think most of these kids are sheltered and end up with poor social skills. Better to let them go to a regular (public) school and see that there are many kinds of people out there, good and bad, and you're going to have to learn to deal with them all.
