West Ham Till I Die : Is Grant About to be Sacked?

It is Avram's fault, sometimes I think his tactics and player positioning is bizarre to say the least. I remember going to the Everton game after the Fulham away win thinking that we'd have the same team, and that Cole was (maybe) due a home goal after getting a brace at the Cottage. Perhaps I'm wrong, but wouldn't most managers stick with the same team for the next game? I think he dropped Ben Haim, Gabbidon, Cole and Stanislas. I know we drew against Everton, but I can't help feel that Avram feels the need to mix things up just a little to often. What I will never understand is how he gets players to play in unfamiliar roles. Okay, we have problems at left back and right back and Gabs and Ben Haim are okay, but to play Nobes on the left of midfield, or drop Piquionne back into midfield somewhere? Seriously? It's not just Avram that needs to go, a whole bunch of the players should too. I would lose Upson, Illunga, Faubert, Behrami (who hasn't been the same since his long-term injury), Kovac, Spector, Boa, Reid (Grant seems to have no faith in him anyway), McCarthy, Dyer, and maybe Ben Haim too. Plus, if Grant isn't going to play the youngsters, or give them a real chance, perhaps they should go out on loan? Stanislas needs to toughen up although he does have a knack of being calm in front of goal - given the opportunity, Spence, Hines - who needs games, Kurucz or Stech etc. I'd like for us to sign some quality, and have the injured players come back too. I'd love to see Parker as captain too. But it feels like we're onto a loser with the transfer situation now, especially when players like Sidwell are looking to turn us down. Who would want to come to us right now? If Avram went, who on Earth would come in? Something has to happen, before it's too late.

West Ham Till I Die : Now We Are Really Cooking!

It's always good to see decent defending. Jacobsen's been extremely effective since he's come in. He doesn't panic, and his positioning, as a right back, is far superior to Faubert's. he even had a cheeky shot at the edge of the box at one point, although he sliced it into the Spurs fans, it was good to see him getting into forward positions too. Best thing about the game was winning, and second best has to be the clean sheet! I just hope the back four stay fit and get a few games together now.

Did anyone see Gabbs get forward toward the middle/end of the second half? He managed to get through a couple of challenges and use a bit of trickery, but the further forward he got the more he didn't know what he was going to do next! I think he ended up giving away a throw… He was great defensively though, and it was good to see him playing to be honest. I know he hasn't had a good time with injuries over recent years, maybe now he can put that behind him. :)

West Ham Till I Die : Result: Player Performances v Chelsea

I thought Obinna and Dyer were the star performers. I don't mind seeing Parker top the poll though! Jacobsen seemed to find his feet too. Luis was completely out of the game, but Upson was poor. How long will it be before he has to be dropped? He must be wondering what he has to do to get a bit of down time – on the bench…

West Ham Till I Die : Grant & Ben Haim to Miss Stoke?

Fair play to Grant and Ben Haim. As for Upson, the only reason he seems to be on the pitch now is because he is club captain. He's also now a consistent mistake maker in a poor run of form. I can't believe he's had a moan. Fact is, Grant's trying out different players along side Upson to get the best out of him, and make the back four better as a whole. Uspon should go the same way as Tomkins and be dropped due to poor form and mistakes. He sounds complacent to me. As soon as Da Costa is fit bring him back and pair him with someone else.

West Ham Till I Die : Brescia Given Diamanti Present

I think he's a bit of a luxury player personally, but I'd have never sold him for that price. What a waste! If he was up for it, he could make an impact in a game. What player could we buy for the money we'll get from his sale, that would be good enough to do the same? If this is how things are then Spector must be worth about ten quid if Diamanti is only worth £1.8 mil. I'm gutted.

West Ham Till I Die : Transfer Gossip: Hello Cruz and Byehrami?

Thomas Hitzlsperger is a free, and he was just called in to captain Germany - they're not a bad international side. As for Ben Haim, surely he'll only play if there's a real emergency where ALL of our centre backs are out! I can't see him getting a game any other way.

It'll be a shame if we sign Aliadiere. Wouldn't it be a step backward, rather than forward? If we sign a player, free or not, we should be looking at players who can really compete for the first team, or if they can't quite make it, a player who can make a real impact from the bench. Aliadiere is surely not in that category. A drain on resources that would be better spent elsewhere. Plus we've seen 'what he can do' in the claret and blue already, and that wasn't much. Caicedo wouldn't be a bad signing in my opinion. Young, quick, powerful… Free signing or not, he's not going to get a look in at City is he? He does have the attributes to be a success at another club though, maybe that could be us… Surely he's worth a gamble?

West Ham Till I Die : Let's All Play 'Guess the Team'!

Anyone think Behrami could be a half decent right-back? I remember him covering for LuCash Neill in a few games a couple of seasons ago. Apart from putting a formation on here, I've not posted before, so I hope I'm not gate crashing the party! COYI
