It amazes me how 'racism' is perceived to be a quality only of 'White People'. Thank you Prof. Gates for clearly pointing out that racism is a quality of idiots and knows no color.

Why would your name be in this report today?

"The executive summary of the report says ACORN provided contributions of financial and personnel resources to indicted former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown and candidate Obama, among others, in what the report calls a scheme to use taxpayer money to support a partisan political agenda, which would be a clear violation of numerous tax and election laws."

I can understand Blago and BHO, but why would this report link you with ACORN and two of the most hated politicians in the country?

What exactly is your involvement with ACORN?

Exactly how much money and personnel resources have you received from ACORN?

Take some advice from a tax-paying voter with a very big mouth - if these are true, resign. If they are false, prove it. Either way you're in for an uphill battle. And I would hope you would make certain you are not using PUBLIC funds to defend/denounce this - I'd hate to see you get in more trouble than you're already are.

Does the car need to run? Can I go to the junk yard and buy a clunker and trade it in?

The problem with the cash for clunkers deal is the clunkers are destroyed which will remove lower price used cars from the marketplace.

Interesting that it's '1984' don't you think?

With regard to Gerald Walpin - Isn't this a perfect example of the pot calling the kettle black - or incompetent in this case? Are we to believe that Uncle Teddy Kennedy is functioning properly under his current health condition? What about Teddy's boy who just checked into rehab - is he competent to serve? I'd have to agree, the press conference that princess Pelosi gave about the CIA, she looked very confused and disoriented to me - she had troubles putting two truthful words together.

You'll never hear me say Party before Country. But I think you're looking at the GOP only as it stands today - a broken misguided entity. For me, it's not about 'saving' the party, it's about fixing it - get it back to what it was with Reagan - Conservative, fiscally responsible, small Government with peace through strength. I hate to quote Teddy Roosevelt, but 'walk softly and carry a big stick', but stay out of the lives of the American people. I want the Republican party to be the party that gives a hand-up not a hand-out. This is also why I don't believe we need a third party - this party is broken. Let's not throw it away like we do everything else in this country. Let's fix it and make it better than it was before - we can make it better, smaller, more responsive to the needs of the American people.

I disagree. You're thinking of these 'Digital books' in the wrong way. They are merely a device called a zero client (a dumb terminal with no operating system) to connect into the students 'desktop' which is maintained within the schools datacenter. The only thing needed by the student is internet connectivity.

BTW, these 'Digital books' or zero clients don't have a web browser so the student can't surf porn etc.

Actually, there are several school districts around the country who have been doing this for years with great success. If it's done correctly, the units are inexpensive, secure and if they are stolen are of no good outside of the school districts network.
